Active Adventure

Our half and full day whitewater trips begin right at the border of Yellowstone. Our professional guides will show you the best place to sit in the raft to suit your ability and eagerness, teach you how to paddle, and guide you through the best whitewater on the Yellowstone River. The River is mostly class II and III, with some class IV's during spring runoff. Each trip starts with a series of waves and rapids followed by calm stretches that give you the opportunity to take in views of the Gallatin and Absoroka ranges that surround our valley. Large birds of prey flock to the river along with chances to see elk, antelope, river otters, and even bears. There is no experience necessary and our minimum age is 6yrs old.

Typical Day

Half day trips generally last about 2 hours on the water and leave our office at 10am, 11am, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 5:15 (during peak season). Our full day trips leave once a day at 9:30 am and generally return to our office around 3 pm (Lunch is included). Scenic trips last about an hour and a half and leave daily at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm. Kayak trips are scheduled individually and you'll be on the water for about 2 hours.

Age range, type of group

Minimum age for our whitewater trips is 6 years old and 4 years old for our scenic trips. Generally children and non paddlers ride in the center of the raft where they can hold on. There is no maximum age for our trips.
Group discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

Sleeping and meals

Our office is located in Gardiner, MT, the northern entrance town to Yellowstone National Park. There are several hotels, motels, B&B's, rental cabins, and camping options in and around Gardiner. As well as, eateries, shopping, and gas stations.
