Melaluka Apartments

We are a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

Here at Melaluka Units we have rooms in our spacious apartments just 100 meters from a beautiful 14km stretch of surf beach, and 2.5km from town, with local shops in our area.

IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A PICK UP FROM THE BUS STATION, TELEPHONE US WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR BOOKING (ie do not email us with your bus), TO LET US KNOW YOUR ARRIVAL TIME. PLEASE DON\'T LEAVE THE CALL FOR WHEN YOU ARRIVE:) N.B. We don\'t pick up from the 5.10pm Greyhound as it regularily arrives after 6pm. Ask the 3.55pm Greyhound from Brisbane to stop at our bus stop 150 meters away, which is \'Sunrise Beach \', call for simple directions.

We are a small family run business run by \'The Twins,\' Bruce & Peter, & Mum. (Bruce is the one followed by his 5 year old son Elliote and speaks Japanese & Peter speaks Spanish & Mum speaks German, French & Italian).

We run a quiet chilled out hostel. A great place to take it easy, have your own space and a quiet beer or wine at the end of the day,out of your own fridge, & in the comfort of your own apartment. So if your idea of FUN is checking out our beautiful beach, National Park and town, then relaxing in the quiet of your own \'home,\' then you\'ll love it here.

The Melaluka apartments, since 1978, are 2 & 3 bedroom, fully self contained, each with their own fully equipped kitchen, and spacious lounge/dining room, T.V. DVD and laundry. \'Just like a house\'.

All the apartments are professionally cleaned regularly and have all the facilities of home.

For SECURITY everyone can lock up their own apartments and their individual rooms, and of course, have their own key each for the apartment and bedrooms.

We have a few courtesy bus runs into town each day, otherwise there are 4 local buses every hour.

We have twin, single and double rooms available. So you can book your own bedroom, or bed, then you share the facilities of the apartment which sleep up to 4 or 5 people in total in the apartment. If you are travelling in a small group of 4 or 5, then you can book your own apartment to yourselves.

LOCATION; 100 meters to the beach, 2.5km from town, 1.2km from our local Sunshine Beach Centre with shops, cafes and Surf Club/Bar, and we have a Cafe/Mini Market 100 meters down the road. The national park walk starts at the end of our beach, 2.5km.

Our Office hours are as follows;
9.00 - 5.30 Monday - Friday, 10.00 - 4.00pm Saturday & 10.00 - 3.00pm Sunday, so if you are arriving after hours please phone us for key pick up arrangements, before your arrival.

Directions

Our main bus stop is Noosa Heads. Just let us know in advance, and we can pick you up.

By train, get of at Nambour, then it's an hours on the 630 Sun Bus to the Noosa Heads Bus stop.

Driving from Brisbane turn off onto the 'Sunshine Motorway' when out of Brisbane,
Then look for the 'Peregian' turn off about 25 minutes later (Which is a roundabout).
This will bring you onto the coastal highway so continue driving up the coast.
Shortly after the turn off you will see a sign reading 'Welcome to Sunrise Beach',
shortly after this sign you will need to turn right into 'Vernon Street,'
then take the next 2 rights to bring you around into 'Selene Street'.
