And Daly Ave was home to many Fathers of Confederation (Sir Samuel Leonard Tilley, Sir Alexander Campbell, Sir Alexander Tilloch Galt) and our first Prime Minister, John A. Macdonald who lived just across the street from our Inn (1865 to 1872).

Because of our ideal downtown core location, consider leaving the car at home. Attractions are in walking distance from the Inn. You'll save money and the environment too!

From the BUS station: Bus cost $3.00
Take bus #4 (Downtown) to the Rideau Centre and walk 3 min. to 89 Daly Ave. Alternatively, $13 taxi or 45 minute walk. If coming from Montreal, ask driver before boarding bus to drop you off at University of Ottawa (2 minute walk to 89 Daly)

BY CAR: Toronto/Montreal via Highway 417
417 exit Nicholas Street. Continue to Laurier Ave - turn right. Turn left off Laurier onto Cumberland. Gasthaus Switzerland Inn is on your right side corner of Cumberland and Daly.

From the VIA TRAIN station:
Take any bus #95 going downtown to University of Ottawa or MacKenzie King Bridge and walk 2 min. to Gasthaus Switzerland Inn. Alternatively, $15 taxi or 1 hour walk.

From the AIRPORT:Bus cost $3.00
Take bus #97 (Kanata) to MacKenzie King Bridge. Walk 2 blocks East. Alternatively, $35 taxi or $15 airport shuttle bus to Les Suites Hotel (two minute walk from hotel).
