Argoulias Traditional Apartments

Welcome to Lasithi Plateau, a place of unique natural beauty - a unique geological formation. As we know from Greek Mythology it was here, where Zeus, father of the Gods, was born and brought up. And it became world famous for its thousands of windmills that composed and unprecedented scene. In the Village of Jermiadon (Tzermiadon), which lies in the middle of Lasithi Plateau, at an altitude of 900 m, you can find the traditional apartments 'Argoulias'.
This is the oldest neighborhood of the village that was restored with respect to the traditional architecture and materials compatible to the environment (stone, tiles and wood). It comprises 11 stone-built apartments, each with two rooms, a separate bathroom, cooking facilities, a lounge with a fireplace, central heating and a balcony that offers a breath taking view of Lasithi Plateau and the mountain chain Dikti. There are also two communal living and dining rooms where our guests can come together. The location of the property, its construction and decoration promise a pleasant stay.

Your hosts, who have a deep knowledge and great experience of the Cretan gastronomy tradition, can also take care of your meals or provide you with local products, if wish to cook your own food in the kitchen of your apartment. The breakfast consists of local products (fresh milk, eggs, bread, Cretan hard bread 'dakos', cheese, fruits, decoctions, etc) that are brought to your apartment fresh every day in a basket.
Besides relax and good food, the visitor can have other activities that include: trekking (part of E4 trail), paragliding, mountaineering and climbing.

A credit card is required to secure the reservation. You have up to 3 days prior to arrival to cancel the reservation without charge. If the reservation is cancelled within 72 hours prior to arrival you will be charged 1 night stay. Same day cancellations, no shows or early check out will result in 1 night charge. Payment: credit card will be charged on arrival day.

Directions

On leaving Heraklion International Airport, which is 52 km away, head southeast on Leoforos Ikarou toward Odos Aerodromiou 0.4 km and then turn right at G.Seremeti. After 0.5 km take the ramp onto Route 90/E75. Continue on approximately 27 km and then turn right toward Kastelliou-Tzermiadou. After 10.5 km make sharp left at Kastelliou-Tzermiadou and continue on 3 km. Slightly turn right to stay on Kastelliou-Tzermiadou and after 7.5 km turn left to stay on Kastelliou-Tzermiadou. Go on straight next 2.5 km, then turn right and after 0.5 km you will get to the village of Tzermiadon where the hotel is.
