The hotel description is not the opinion of the owner but solemnly composed of customer reviews.
It is really close to Paradise. The sea is fantastic, the sand is white and the beach is surrounded by coconut palms which give you a fantastic view close to a Hollywood movie. Melinda's Garden is closed to Station 3 at the quieter end of the beach. The walk to the beach is literally 2 minutes. It is excellent. The place is easy to find as it is sign posted from the main beach strip.
Melinda's Garden is an amazing tropical garden full of plants and trees. It is a piece of natural atmosphere hidden away from the monstrous concrete hotels on the island. Melinda's Garden offers a taste of more tranquil times in Boracay before recent developments began threatening the harmony of the island.
The cottages are made of bamboo and coconut leaves with a bathroom made of stone and a fantastic veranda with hammock, table and bamboo chairs. The hammock is a great place to relax and take a break from the sun. The rooms are awesome, so romantic and clean every day. These traditional huts make a nice difference to all the other resorts on the island and although the standard cottages are simple, you get everything you need for a great price. It feels rustic and homey - just what you are looking for.
In the Aircon and Aircon Deluxe Cottages they try to combine the rustic style with some luxury: fresh sheets, towels (including beach towels) everyday, refrigerator, TV and king-size beds.
Cottages in the jungle (at least it feels that way), yet close to famous White Beach but away from the party area. The quiet relaxation of drinking coffee on a hammock in the morning with maybe only a curious lizard for company is an experience that cannot be matched by a 4 star tourist hotel with impersonal buffet style service.
The staff is so helpful and friendly, always available for anything, no matter what time of day. They even give you beach mats, books and fresh coconuts directly from the tree. They answer your questions and give you information about the island. A nice little bar serves breakfast and there is a little massage hut on site where you can have cheap massages at any time.
Cooper, the dog might look scary and bark when you arrive but he is really harmless. The cats around the property are so nice and cute.
Even so the area is the quietest of the island it is not so far from the nightlife with plenty of entertainments, restaurants and night shows. Everything is quite cheap there. Transport around the island costs a few cents. Tattoos are as well cheap as massages. The food is great and the fish is fresh at surprisingly cheap prices. It is really worth to try fresh coconut as a drink and a meal as well as tropical fruits like mangoes and papayas which taste great here. You can eat for as little as 1 euro per meal and 5 euro for a tremendous 'Eat all you can' fish dinner with plenty of fresh oysters. If you are travelling alone it is so easy to find a nice company. What else do you want from a holiday?
It is hard to describe but if you like nature you are going to have an amazing relaxing experience. This is what you really need if you are having a stressful life back home. Melindai s Garden is definitely recommendable and the money is worth the accommodation.
