Osho Hostel

Welcome to the first private Hostel in Poprad. Osho Hostel is a newly renovated and freshly designed hostel ideally situated in a quiet area that is only 10 minutes from the train and bus station, 10 minutes from Poprad's city centre, and a 15kms from the High Tatras. Osho Hostel offers an easy going and friendly atmosphere for those travelers looking to relax after a long day of exploring the High Tatras or checking out Poprad's local scene.

Osho Hostel has private and dorm style rooms with a large common area, fully stocked kitchen, balcony and BBQ for guest use. At Osho we love music and having a good party, but seeing as there are heaps of great restaurants and bars within minutes of the hostel we prefer to keep our place as a low key chill-out zone for relaxing.

The hostel is run by friendly English speaking Poprad residents who have done tons of their own backpacking and have now returned to Poprad to help back-packers explore the city. We have an in-depth knowledge of the area surrounding Poprad and are more than happy to help you plan your days hike, skiing or activities in and around Poprad.

We also offer lots of free services during your stay with us as being backpackers ourselves we know what it can be like when a place nickles and dimes you to death. Here is a list of some of the facilities we offer:

Directions

Osho is in a very attractive location. The hostel is found on the border of the city centre right next to one of the best spas in Eastern Europe and the quant historical district of Spiska Sobota. Further to this, it is next to Poprad River and is within a short walk of all of the best restaurants, pubs, spas and shopping in Poprad.
The hostel is in a private building directly behind a Pension called ``Pension Aqualand``. The reception for Osho is also located within the Pension.

By Car

Please see the link above for the map of Poprad with Osho's location on it. Osho is located on the North side of Štefánikova which is route 67.

Train Station
Total distance: 1.5 km
1. Head east on Jiřího Wolkera toward Mnoheľova 29 m
2. Take the 1st right onto Mnoheľova 0.2 km
3. Turn left at Hviezdoslavova 0.3 km
4. Take the 2nd right onto 1. mája 0.2 km
5. Turn left at Štefánikova
Destination will be on the left 0.9 km

Bus Station
Total distance: 1.5 km
1. Head south on Alžbetina toward Drevárska 0.2 km
2. Take the 1st left onto Hviezdoslavova 0.4 km
3. Turn right at 1. mája 0.2 km
4. Turn left at Štefánikova
Destination will be on the left 0.9 km

If you get disorientated from the directions at all, or prefer to get your directions in basic terms:
- When you exit the train or bus station head in the direction of city centre (South - the mountains are in the North)
- Continue walking until you come to the river
- At the river, turn left and follow the river downstream for just over 1km. The river runs parallel to Stefanikova (the street that Osho is on).
- Osho is on the South (right) side of the river and the North (left) side of Stefanikova.

If you still get lost, just ask a local for Aquacity - the biggest Spa in Eastern Europe, Aqulanad is directly in front of the Spa.

Airport
I don't recommend walking from the airport. It is only 6 km but walking along highway isn't that fun. It is only about a 5E cab ride.
