Corner Backpacker hostel is located within walking distance of many of Taichung's best tourist and shopping attractions. It is within easy walking distance of the National Museum of Natural Science and the National Botanical Gardens. The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is also not too far - a huge, and free, art gallery with constantly changing exhibitions.

For shopping most of the major department stores and shopping centres are either walking distance from the hostel, or an easy bus ride away. The bars, clubs and restaurants of the Canal District and Little Europe are also very close by, about 10-15minutes walking distance. There are bus stops 2 minutes from the hostel, so getting to Donghai University and Art Street is quick and easy.

This is a small, cozy hostel. We have a 6-bed male dorm, 6-bed female dorm, and a group room that can take up to 6 people. Each of the rooms has air conditioning and electric fans, hair dryers and kettles, and all bathrooms have free shower gel and shampoo. Each of the rooms also has wi-fi internet access. There is a small lobby with TV, and also a few bicycles and scooter for rent.

There is a also a large private double room with its own bathroom. This room has its own TV, fridge, hairdryer, fluffy towels, kettle with coffee and tea, bottled water and a sunny balcony. It's been beautifully decorated and is perfect for couples, although single travelers have also enjoyed it!

There is an excellent food market next to the hostel with many stalls and restaurants serving various delicious Taiwanese snacks and meals, as well as lots of tea vendors. Also most of Taichung's night markets are easy to get to from here.

There are bus stops 2 minutes from the hostel, so most buses coming into Taichung will pass this way making it convenient to get here and also making it a good place to journey to other cities in Taiwan from. If you're arriving by train we'd recommend taking a taxi to the hostel, as Taichung's roads can be confusing for visitors. It should only take 5 minutes and cost around NT$100.

We will help you make the most of your trip to Taichung, and can help with directions around the city or help you to plan day trips and activities. We can also provide street maps, and suggest the best places to go to eat and shop, Asian and Western.

There is no curfew, but please note that check-in is between 9.00am and 11.00pm. If you want to change your check-in time PLEASE call us at least the day before you arrive. If you do not arrive within 2 hours of the agreed check-in time we will assume you are not coming and you might lose your bed.

1-2. 6 min by bus U-Bus No.83(in the front of train station): get out at Chong Shan Hospital stop中山醫院站. take the Duxin St (篤信街) near by 7-11 to Situn Road (西屯路) turn left go straight,Corner Backpacker is on your right hand side.

1-3. 6 min by bus 台中客運(Green)＃106,88,147,107,103,146: get out at Chong Shan Hospital sto中山醫院站. take the Duxin St (篤信街) near by 7-11 to Situn Road (西屯路) turn left go straight,Corner Backpacker is on your right hand side.

1-4. 6 min by bus 仁友客運(Red)＃22,37,125,45,48公車：get out at Chong Shan Hospital sto中山醫院站. take the Duxin St (篤信街) near by 7-11 to Situn Road (西屯路) turn left go straight,Corner Backpacker is on your right hand side.

2.From Airport:
take U-bus to Taichung : be sure to take Taichung gang Line台中港路 , get out at Chong Shan Hospital stop中山醫院站 , and 5 mins walk to our hostel.
take the Duxin St (篤信街) near by 7-11 to Situn Road (西屯路) turn left go straight,Corner Backpacker is on your right hand side.

3. Taiwan High Speed Rail-Taichung station:
go downstairs get on free bus and get out at SOGO stop. 5 min to our hostel by Taxi. (ask driver call us ask for the address: 0973331020)
