Punto Berro Hostel

Located two blocks from the beach and offering awesome bar-b-qs, homemade pasta nights, and the comfiest beds in town, Punto Berro is a cozy and friendly hostel! Our young and helpful staff is here to make sure you have the best experience possible in our beautiful home town of Montevideo.

We are located in Pocitos, one of the most well known and safest neighborhoods in the city, where buzzing urban living mixes with tranquillity. The supermarket, money exchange, cinema, and rental car company are all within a three block radius of the hostel. Our neighbourhood is also known for its excellent restaurants and shopping, and bars and clubs are all within walking distance of the hostel.

We are a short 10 minutes by bus from the international bus terminal and a 15 minute bus ride from the central business district... or you can rent one of our cruiser bikes and enjoy a leisurely 30 minute ride into downtown via the boardwalk!

We have private and dorm rooms with lots of natural light and heat/AC, plenty of communal space, a sunny patio, and Wi-Fi. Come and join us to relax in the hammoc in our quiet backyard, have a mojito at our bar, take a stroll along the beach, and slip into the rhythm of laid back Uruguayan lifestyle!

Directions

From the bus station:
-Outside the main door of the bus station on Bulevar Artigas take bus 183 to Pocitos. Get off the bus at Benito Blanco and Pagola. Then walk up Pagola two blocks (away from the water) and turn left in Berro. You will see our hostel half a block up on the left (approx U 0,50).

From the Airport:
-Take the bus DM1 to Punta Carretas. Get off the bus at 26 de Marzo y Pagola. Turn left on Pagola (towards the beach) and walk one block. Turn right in Berro and you will see our hostel (approx U 1).
-Take a cab (approx U 15)

Port:
-The best option is taking a taxi, it will cost around U 6
