St. John is next to St. Thomas, the bustling city of Charlotte Amalie, but miles apart in attitude and safety. 3/4 of the island is well preserved rain forest national park administered by the US Federal Government. The offshore waters are part of preserved National Monument and the diving and snorkeling and wind surfing is world famous. Choose from any one of the 38 beaches that make the coast of St. John. View and experience Plantation life, and watch a sugar mill come to life at Annaberg plantation: a fully restored masterpiece that takes you back in time to the origins of the rum trade. There are miles of hiking trails through the Rain Forest. You can sign up at the National Park Visitor's center for many different guided walks.

Vacation Rental Property

The house sits on one acre in one of the most exclusive private associations on the island. There are garden walkways that follow the sea, extensive paths and a stairway down to the cliffs overlooking the sea.
The Great Room is 36 x 40 feet, the ceiling soars 24 feet to the sky. The room contains a Steinway grand piano, a hand carved mahogany table that seats 12 and an incredible, fairy tale kitchen with the most exacting appliances. It has 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, a 5 burner cooktop, incognito refrigerator freezer, a wine cooler, ice maker and gelato machine. All spices and amenities provided. That's pretty much everything from drinking straws to paper towels to trash bags.
The house contains a library which is the perfect setting for the executive that just has to stay in touch. There is a fully stocked wine cellar, a breakfast nook with built in washer, dryer and ironing station.
Especially loved is the Media Room, where kids can surf the internet or play their music as loud as they want, as it is fully sound proofed.
The pool is 12' wide x 35 feet long and runs from 4 foot deep at the shallow end, to 12 feet at the deep side. There is a koi pond and teak sunning benches and deck chairs on the pool patio. The house is fully tiled with Canterra outdoors, porcelain in many of the bedrooms, marble in the great room and some exotic hardwood flooring in two of the rooms.

All four bedrooms are uniquely themed, with private en suite baths featuring hand cast concrete and inlaid mahogany. There is an extra day bed in the media room and pull out couch for the kids.
There are two half baths, one on each house level.

Directions

There is no airport on St. John, so visitors must fly to St. Thomas (STT) and then taxi and ferry over. Ferries run hourly until midnight. Or treat yourself to the private Water Taxi and arrive in style. We'll help you arrange all this, and your rental car too, if you like
