Morocco is a country where you can experience a taste of the exotic and it is within a three- and a half hour flight from most European airports. It is a country of stunning beauty, variety and is an all the year round destination that enjoys an extremely pleasant climate. It has sandy beaches to the north and west, the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, and a number of lively cities, in particular Marrakech, also known as the Red City. Marrakech is host to the International Fim Festival each December and a number of other festivals throughout the year including the Marrakech Marathon in January.

However, there is one part of Marrakech that remains unique, the old town or medina. The medina is the famous bustling maze of market streets and alleyways where you can share endless cups of mint tea whilst bargaining for that carpet, these Moroccan leather slippers, that Saharan jewellery, chests, kaftans, and all manner of antiques. It also contains the beating heart of Marrakech, the Djemaa el Fnaa square which is a showcase of traditional Moroccan life. This is where traditional music, dance, storytelling, eating and socialising have continued unchanged for centuries. It is now a designated World Heritage site and properties near to this location are highly prized.

Excursions can be arranged to make your stay in Marrakech even more memorable. This includes; trekking in the High Atlas Mountains (either day trips or overnight stays) with experienced and reliable guides who will organise transfer to and from the Riad. Trips to the desert and Atlantic coast can also be arranged.

Other activities close to the medina include; golf within a 30 minute drive, a water-park, horse-riding

Accommodations

We are situated in a very welcoming and peaceful residential derb ( street) only a few minutes walk away from the souks. Our location is ideal for women & lone travellers as well as couples, families and groups.

On the ground floor, the entrance corridor, with decorative archways and alcoves opens into the central courtyard with dining table which is surrounded with plants and traditional Moroccan decor. There is a salon with comfortable cushioned seating around a decorative waterfall.

There is also a double bedroom and a twin triple / bedded room.

The first floor has three double en-suite bedrooms plus a master suite, complete with hammam, where you can enjoy a relaxing steam bath. Each en-suite bathroom has been traditionally decorated with Tadelakt and Moroccan tiles.

All bedrooms are fitted with top of the range air-conditioning/heater units.

Another flight of stairs lead from the first floor to our large, walled roof terrace filled with plants and fruit trees. relax on our sun lougers or enjoy some mint tea in our beautiful Bedouin Tent.

Your bedroom will be cleaned each day while you enjoy your breakfast (croissants, home made breads, pancakes with honey, tea, coffee and fresh orange juice).

From the roof terrace, there are stunning 360 degree views across the medina, and towards the snow-capped Atlas mountains.An ideal setting for enjoying breakfast, relaxing on a sun lounger or in our lovely Bedouin tent and drinks in the evening whilst watching the sun go down.

3 zilleges-tiled dining tables and chairs will tempt you to evenings of candle-lit dinners under a star-filled African sky.

All our bedrooms have air conditioning / heating units. All our beds have pure cotton sheets. All towels & linen are supplied. Hairdryers are in all rooms.

The Douria Suite is very spacious with double bed, seating area, fireplace and hammam (traditional steam room) on the first floor

The Pink Room is a pretty double bedded room on the first floor.

The Blue Room is a stylish double bedroom on the first floor

The Red Room is a beautiful double room on the first floor

The Green Room is a cosy ground floor double room

The Orange Room is a spacious ground floor twin / triple room

Rates & Availability

Our rates range from £40 per room per night to £80 per room per night .

Whole riad bookings for 14 people range from £360 per night to £420 depending on the time of year.

Other Information

We ask for a 25% deposit to secure the booking with the balance due on arrival. We accept payment by Bank Transfer, PayPal and Credit Card.

The following cancellation charges will apply:
More than 55 days before arrival: the booking deposit
28-55 days before arrival: 50% of the cost of accommodation
14-27 days before arrival: 75% of the cost of accommodation
Less than 15 days before arrival: 100% of the cost of accommodation

We are very flexible about check in times but request that all rooms are vacated by 12pm.

Suitcases can be stored in the riad until departure.

Directions

We are located close to the main square - Jemaa el Fnaa about 5 minutes walk away
Once you are on the square ask for Café France.
With Café France on your right hand side, Derb Dabachi is in front of you.
Count 3 small streets (derbs) on the right.
Derb Jamaa has beautiful green and golden flower pots all the way along and a ‘Welcome’ sign painted on one of the arches.
Turn right and keep on keep going along the derb until you see the Riad Linda sign. Look left & you will see a painted lilac wall with flower pots. Riad Linda is situated at the left hand side.

We can also arrange for airport transfers.
