Fossombrone (PU), Italy Bike Tours

Active Adventure
Freeride, Down Hill and Enduro
mountain bike holidays. Freeride Italy are situated in the Apennine mountains where there is riding to suit all levels from beginner to pro. The riding is challenging, rewarding and varied. Dh, freeride trails with north shore wood work, berms and road gaps or endless single track. You will find it all here! Gravity based riding is serviced with our up lift van or chair lifts at near by bike parks or work your way around the mountain on enduro style rides combining flowing descents with technical climbs. All rides are accompanied by experienced and qualified guides at all times. We offer top end bikes for those needed to hire as well as mechanical assistance.
Typical Day
Breakfast in the hotel or guest house, fuelling up for the day ahead. Pick up around 8.30am. Each day a new itnery will be planned by both the guide and the riders. This allows the riders to get the most out of their stay here as the guides are able to advise the best options for each day based upon conditions, rider abilitly and most importantly the wishes of the riders.
Typically, gravity riders can expect to get anywhere from five to ten "drops" in per day, ranging from 5 to 10 km's in length. This is over an altitude range of 100 to 1700m above sea level. Enduro loops range from 5 to 30km's, the amount covered in a day depending apon the level of fittness and ablity of the riders. Our emphasis is on fun and challenges. Lunch is at one of the many local refuges or simple restaurants known as "trattoria's" in the area. Alternatively arrangements can be made to meet up with a packed lunch on the way.

After being dropped off in the evening, riders are free to relax by the local lakes or take advantage of the football, swimming or tennis available at the accommodation. The local town of Fossombrone is a short ride away with many bars restaurants and historic points of interest. Any serious mechanical problems can also be addressed at the end of the days riding.
Age range, type of group
Riding age begin's at thirteen and run's all the way into the fifties. We cater to groups or individuals from any back ground and base our groups around six people per guide. We do ask that all riders bring a current doctor's certificate however as this is a demanding sport that requires a base level of fitness to participate.

Sleeping and meals
Accommodation is half board in either a local hotel or guest house both situated at the bottom of some of the best rides in the area. Lunch and dinner options are provided each day at one of many fine local establishments. An excellent three course meal with wine is around €25 per person.
Restrictions
We have no restrictions other than the rule that our guides advice be respected and followed. This is a potentially dangerous sport (serious injury or death can result from not following the proper guide lines) so anyone who is deemed to be physically unable to participate, or acts in a way that the guide deems as a risk to themselves or others will be asked stop riding. The guides word is final, and no debates will be entered into.

Rates
Our rates start at €60/ person per day with guide and uplift. Week deals are for 5 full days riding with a guide and half board accommodation and start at €500/week per person based on a group of 6. We do our best to put individual people into groups to give the best deal possible . Also it's more fun with a good group egging each other on!
Other Information
We offer top end bikes for those needed to hire as well as mechanical assistance. Bike hire is €50/day or €230/week. More details available on our site.

The past ten years have been based in Italy . This has led to a deep passion for snowboarding and freeride mountain biking, both of which feel like a natural extension from surfing. Experiences such as these have led to the founding of Freeride Italy as a means to continue the journey and share the stoke.
