Wine, olive oil and honey are produced at a nearby farmhouse, and other products such as sausages and cheese are made and sold in local shops.

Food shops can be found in the nearby villages of San Romolo, Villamagna, Candeli and Vallina. Bagno A Ripoli (ten minute drive) has a supermarket, post office, church, bank and shops.

There are numerous restaurants (open on Sundays) in the vicinity of Casale Fontibucci, and we are happy to make recommendations upon request.

Just a few kilometres from Casale Fontibucci, there are 2 riding-schools (enabling guests to visit the countryside around the estate on horseback), tennis courts and a golf club.

Directions

From the Firenze Sud exit it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach Casale Fontibucci.


Turn off the A1 Motorway at the Firenze Sud exit
Follow the link road for 800 metres and turn right in Viale Europa, direction Pontassieve - Rosano
After 2 km you come to a roundabout, follow the signs for Candeli
After 1km, you come to Candeli, turn right at the traffic lights, following the signs for Villamagna - Case di San Romolo
Proceed for 5 km, go through Villamagna and continue in the direction of Le Case di San Romolo
After 1 km, when you come to the sign for Le Case di San Romolo, turn right into Via Fontibucci, continue along the unmade road marked with a private sign. You will find Casale Fontibucci at no. 5.

Although Le Case di San Romolo, the area in which Casale Fontibucci is situated, is served by the no. 48 bus, we recommend that guests take the car as far as the car park called Scambiatore Europa and from there take the no. 23 bus to reach the city centre.
