Welcome to Aqualand - a fun, easy going and friendly place to spend your vacation.
Aqualand is ideally located in the centre of Poprad and is a short walking distance to all major attractions, restaurants, bars and is directly next to a large spa with outdoor mineral hot springs. The High Tatras are also very accessible by bus, train or car from Aqualand.
Aqualand is freshly designed with lots of art from local artists and several uniquely designed common rooms including a dinning room/pub, music lounge, TV area and free use kitchen. All of our 8 rooms have private bathrooms and shower are spacious, brightly decorated and kept exceptionally clean for our guests.
Aqualand is owned, managed, and designed by Poprad locals who have done a lot of travelling and know exactly what makes a hostel great. We will always take the time to help you plan your days in and around Poprad and the High Tatra Mountains. We love living in Slovakia next to the High Tatra mountains and we really just want you to have the best possible time in our country. We look forward to welcoming you at Aqualand.
Aqualand is in a very attractive location. The hostel is found on the border of the city centre right next to one of the best spas in Eastern Europe and the quant historical district of Spiska Sobota. Further to this, it is next to Poprad River and is within a short walk of all of the best restaurants, pubs, spas and shopping in Poprad.
Directions to Aqualand
By Car
Please see the link above for the map of Poprad with Aqualand Pension's location on it. Aqualand Pension is located on the North side of Štefánikova which is route 67.
Train Station
Total distance: 1.5 km
1. Head east on JiřÃho Wolkera toward Mnoheľova 29 m
2. Take the 1st right onto Mnoheľova 0.2 km
3. Turn left at Hviezdoslavova 0.3 km
4. Take the 2nd right onto 1. mája 0.2 km
5. Turn left at Štefánikova
Destination will be on the left 0.9 km
*NOTE - if you are arriving in Poprad from Krakow it is much easier to do this trip by bus. It takes approx. 4 hours by bus via Zakopanee compared to 10 by train. Refer to our website for bus schedule details.
Bus Station
Total distance: 1.5 km
1. Head south on Alžbetina toward Drevárska 0.2 km
2. Take the 1st left onto Hviezdoslavova 0.4 km
3. Turn right at 1. mája 0.2 km
4. Turn left at Štefánikova
Destination will be on the left 0.9 km
If you get disorientated from the directions at all, or prefer to get your directions in basic terms:
- When you exit the train or bus station head in the direction of city centre (South - the mountains are in the North)
- Continue walking until you come to the river
- At the river, turn left and follow the river downstream for just over 1km. The river runs parallel to Stefanikova (the street that Aqualand Pension is on).
- The Pension is on the South (right) side of the river and the North (left) side of Stefanikova.
If you still get lost, just ask a local for Aquacity - the biggest Spa in Eastern Europe, Aqulanad is directly in front of the Spa.
Airport
I don't recommend walking from the airport. It is only 6 km but walking along highway isn't that fun. It is only about a 5E cab ride.
