Unlike traditional surf schools, we don’t just get you on your feet. Instead we give you the building blocks so you can teach yourself to become a better surfer. We’ve replaced ambiguous surf lingo with clear concise coaching on a level as high as you could receive in any main stream sport.

The Surf Simply team are all qualified BSA and ISA Surf Coaches as well as being RLSS and ILS International Beach Lifeguards, but more importantly they’re surf geeks. They love to get stuck into the “hows” and “whys” of surfing and then to articulate it in an interesting and engaging way.

Typical Day

A typical day will involve a continental breakfast up at the rancho area at around 7am, before heading down for your first in-water surf lesson at 8am. You'll be driven down to the beach in our golf buggy. Then, it's back up to the rancho to review any video footage, and go through a theory session, on topics such as board design, or swell formation, or tides, or etiquette in the line-up. You'll then sit down to a hot post-surf brunch, before have a well-deserved couple of hours to lounge around the pool. An optional yoga class will start around 2pm, before the second surf of the day at around 3pm. Then, it back for a shower before heading out to one of the local culinary hotspots for dinner.

Age range, type of group

We have guests of all ages come to stay with us, and in all different group sizes; from independent travelers through to large families on their annual vacation.

Sleeping and meals

The Surf Simply School resort consists of 4 surf chalets, 800 yards back for the waters edge nestled in the jungle. It’s a boutique resort which can only cater to a maximum of 12 guests (hence the need for booking well in advance).

Each chalet has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. All the rooms have WiFi and air conditioning. The chalets also have a kitchen (although you will not need to use it) and a private terrace. You can choose to either share a chalet, share a room or have a private chalet all to yourself. The beach is a 5 minute walk through the trees but for your surf lessons we will drive you down in our golf buggy. You will have use of the ‘beach cruiser’ bicycles the rest of the time if you fancy exploring. The pool-side lounge also has WiFi and a huge comfortable sofa.

Careful thought has been given to every aspect of the resort from the art on the wall of your bedroom to the integrated lighting which lights up the palms from underneath when you swim in the pool at night. The poolside dinning room and lounge double as the perfect classroom for teaching surf theory and doing video feedback sessions. The best thing about the resort though is the quiet. The rustle of the trees (or the animals in them) and the waves are the only sounds you’ll hear as you lay by the pool or on your own private terrace.

Rates & Availability

You have the option of either sharing one of the luxury two bedroom surf chalets or having it all to yourself. You can opt to share a room or have a private room in a shared chalet too if you like. Have a look though the options below and see what suits you best. All prices below are for 7 nights stay, running from Saturday to Saturday and include the full surf coaching package.

The Single Soulful Surfer

Coming on your own but would like to “bunk up” & make friends in a Surf Camp environment whilst keeping costs low.

1 person in a private room (in a shared chalet) $2700 per person -
Coming on your own but would like to have your privacy within a shared chalet.

1 person in a Private Chalet $3500 -
The ultimate option for taking yourself out of the daily grind. Total seclusion until lesson time.

If You’re a Delightful Duo

2 people in a private room (in a shared chalet) $2200 per person -
For a couple (or friends) who would like to share a chalet with fellow surfers, but with the privacy of their own bedroom. Double or twin beds available.

2 people in a Private Chalet $2700 per person -
Not only do you get your own room, but the whole chalet to yourselves.

3 people in a Private Chalet $2350 per person -
For small families or groups of friends.
