Surrounding Area
The place to go for the best, world class fishing for King Salmon, Silver Salmon, and Halibut is Sitka, Alaska, due to its unique location jutting out into the Pacific Ocean. Of all the king salmon and halibut sport caught in southeast Alaska, 40% of them are landed near the outer coast of Sitka. Sitka is also the hot bed for "barn-door" halibut, lingcod and various rockfish.
Sitka has something special to share with each adventurer who visits its shores! Besides our legendary Genuine Alaskan Hospitality, and Alaskan fishing, it also has amazing history, abundant wildlife, and gorgeous scenery. You can expect to see animals such as brown bears, sea lions, seals, sea otters, Sitka black-tailed deer, tufted puffins and bald eagles—to name a few!
Accommodations
The lodge can accommodate 34-40 guests at one time, with two separate self-contained lodging facilities: the "Front House" and the "Cabin," and eight rooms in the main lodge.
With caring, conscientious staff and a warm family atmosphere, it is the perfect place for families, fishing buddies, and even small corporate groups. The lodge is located in Sitka, Alaska, adjacent to Thomsen Harbor, which has a convenient drive-down ramp for easy access to and from the charter boats daily. Free, secured Wi-Fi is available on premises.
Rooms/Suites
The Front House is a completely self-contained unit, with a full kitchen, living room, and free laundry facilities. With three bedrooms containing a mixture of double and twin beds, and two additional beds adjacent to the living room, the Front House can sleep 12 people. It has two full baths.
This arrangement makes it perfect for a group of good friends or families who want their own space apart from the main lodge.
The living room looks out on Thomsen Harbor and contains Cable TV, two comfortable sofas and a full body massage chair. The kitchen is large and fully equipped.
The cabin is also completely self-contained and slightly smaller than the Front House. Again it has a full kitchen, living room, and free laundry facilities. The Cabin has one full bathroom.
There are two bedrooms, with a king and queen size bed, respectively, and two beds (a twin and a double) adjacent to the living room, so it can sleep 4-6 people. Small groups of couples or friends love the comfort of the Cabin. The living room has a full body massage chair, Cable TV, and a comfortable love seat.
The kitchen is fully equipped. The large window above the dining table looks out into the processing room, if you'd like to watch your catch of the day being filleted.
In addition the Cabin has a private patio looking out over Thomsen Harbor, where you can watch fish jumping, birds flying, and the inevitable gorgeous sunset. The entire Cabin receives maid service daily.
