Jarabacoa Gold Company offers gold panning adventures into the mountains of Dominican Republic. With several "proven" sites, customers can choose from a variety of physical involvement and hiking. From 1/2 day adventures to multiple days camping and or staying in Cabanas or cabins close to the prospecting sites.

Typical Day

Trips leave at 9:00 am half day adventures return around 12:30pm as full day trips return at around 6:30pm. Most 1/2 day adventures are just outside of Jarabacoa, you spend the morning panning and Sluicing for Gold in the streams and creeks. All the Gold you find is yours to keep. The full day trips take you from Jarabacoa into the mountains to Manabao where you spend the day gold panning, sluicing and prospecting. A typical Dominican lunch is included and prepared by the local ladies of the area. This is a highlight for most customers. All the Gold you find is yours to keep.

Age range, type of group

These trips are for all ages, Most trips are limited to 8 people, however, we can and do take school and church groups, Corporate groups and families. Large groups require 3 day notification. Hiking and crossing moving streams and creeks is required for most locations, but we do have great sites that do not require much walking and hiking.

Sleeping and meals
