Alaska Paragliding offers introductory tandem paragliding flights to visitors of South Central Alaska. Fly with an experienced instructor over the beautiful Girdwood Valley. No prior experience is necessary and the activity is suitable for all ages.
is a great way for a people of all ages to experience flying. The adventure begins by boarding the tram at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska. The tram takes passengers from 306 feet above sea level to 2,334 feet. Alaska Paragliding is located at the top of the tram where guests watch a short safety video and prepare themselves for the experience of a lifetime. Launch is a short walk down the stairs from the office. Together the instructor and student run together to successfully inflate and launch the paraglider. Once into the air the student can take photos, fly the glider, float smoothly over the valley floor, experience an exciting series of acrobatics, and land softly in Moose Meadow, which is just a five-minute walk from the base of the tram. The flight is usually between ten and fifteen minutes long, but occasionally rising air can increase flight time to a half hour or longer.

There are no age limitations for paragliding, but passengers must weigh between 60 and 250 lbs.
