Homer Ocean Charters has been locally owned and operated for thirty years.
Full day, half day and 3/4 day halibut, combo and multispecies fishing charters are available. All full day fishing trips check in at 6:30 a.m. with 7 a.m. departure. Half day and 3/4 day halibut fishing trips depart at 8 a.m. All fishing gear and fish filleting are included in the price. Prices range from $140 to $375 depending upon the type of trip.

Not included in price of fishing trips: sales tax, gratuity, fishing licenses,
derby tickets, food, drinks, fish processing or shipping.
All clients should wear warm layered clothes, comfortable shoes and bring along light rain gear, lunch and drinks.
Deep sea fishing can be rigorous and clients should be aware of their capabilities. Not handicapped accessible.

Fishing can be a great family activity. Parents should be aware of their children's abilities and consider that it can be a long day for young children. Fishing trips are not appropriate for toddlers. Children nine years and older should be able to fish with some assistance from parents. Each child should have a parent along to supervise them.
Clients may be interested in other activities we offer such as kayaking, hiking, water taxi service, remote cabin rentals, scenic cruises.

Lodging in Homer is available in B&Bs, motels, cabins, rental homes, cabins, condos. Prices generally range from $150 to $350 a night depending upon time of year and number in party.
A variety of options are available - we will be happy to book lodging for our clients.
Otter Cove Resort cabins are located across Kachemak Bay - these cabins are rustic and remote offering a great, true Alaskan get away. Perfect for couples or families. Cabins are $100 a night and are comfortable for up to four people. Round trip water taxi to Otter Cove is $70 for adults and $50 for children 12 and under. Clients bring their own food and bedding. There is a cook shack on site with all that is needed to cook and eat with. A coin operated shower and flush toilets are available. This a great spot for hiking, kayaking, walking on the beach and relaxing - beautiful, peaceful and scenic. There are four cabins on site for a total available occupancy of 16 - four to a cabin is best unless there are some small children.

Smoking is not allowed in the cabins of any of our vessels, office or any buildings at Otter Cove Resort Pets are not allowed on fishing trips or bay cruises, however, they are allowed on our water taxi and at Otter Cove Resort.
Guests must clean up after their dogs. Please be respectful of other guests and do not bring dogs that bark when left alone. Dogs are not allowed to run free on the property.
