The Everest Base Camp trek, a well-known adventure hike, starts from Lukla, treks through upper Phakding and heads towards the Dudh Kosi valley. Treks uphill to the Sherpa capital of Namche, a bustling Bazar junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest.

All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.

Mt Everest Base Camp is the most popular destination for trekkers in Nepal. Its popularity has grown since the first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1950s. The trek takes off from Lukla. First, we should take 40 minutes morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, and we will land its tiny at Lukla Airstrip. Then our trek start in Khumbu Region. After that, the trek follows the Dudh Kosi valley route with an ascent up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar.

From Namche, you traverse along a high path from where you have the first good view of Everest. Next, you trek ahead to Thyangboche Monastery, located on top of a mountain hill, descend the Imja Khola, and continue to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche. After that, you will arrive at the Khumbu Glacier. The trek through the glacier takes you first to Lobuche and then to Gorak Shep, where you finally reach your destination, Everest Base Camp, at the foot of the Khumbu ice falls.
