Podstine is a peaceful and family-friendly place, a picturesque Resort with one of the best spas in Europe, it has an excellent restaurant, a terrace and caf� bar overlooking the sea. It is homely, relaxingly elegant and non-pretentious. The view to the striking Pakleni otoci (Resin's islands) will remain in lasting memory of every visitor. We make sure our every guest has a parking space, beach mat, a sunshade and a beach shower. Our hotel has forty double rooms (one or two additional beds possible) and five communicating rooms. For visitors coming in from the sea we prepare their own yacht berth (corpo morto). The interior of Podstine reflects the fresh and sunny atmosphere of a holiday in Hvar. The rooms have: Toilet with a shower, color TV/SAT, air condition, mini bar, telephone. Our guests may use: room service, available from 11:00 to 23:00, wireless internet connection, own monitored parking space, gratis mat and sunshade, private beach, only 25 m from hotel rooms, warm & cold breakfast buffet.
Restaurant Podstine started off as a small hotel restaurant. Today, our restaurant has a capacity of 126 seating places and is widely known for its friendly and relaxing atmosphere, and more importantly, for its great cuisine. Romantically located amongst citrus and palm trees, underneath the stars, with a view over the sea, it is a quiet and inspirational place where we have celebrated many special occasions and important decisions.

In case of cancellations with lesser notice or no-show, 100% of the cost will be charged.

Once you have confirmed your booking the hotel will preauthorize your card for the balance due. In the unlikely event that your card cannot be preauthorized for the remaining amount you will receive an email notifying you of this.

You must reply to this notification with valid credit card details within 3 days.
Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your booking.

Directions

Hotel Podstine is situated in the island of Hvar, Hvar city. The closest airport to fly into is Split, and there are regular and frequent ferry lines to Hvar and Stari Grad. We would be glad to help you organize your arrival.
BY PLANE:
Split airport is closest to Hvar. There is an organized bus transportation to Split harbor. If there is not direct flight from your destination, then you can fly via Zagreb Airport which well connected with Split.
BY CAR:
There are two ferry ports on the island of Hvar; Stari Grad and Sućuraj. Stari Grad port is connected to Split and it is closer to Hvar (20 km) and drive to Hvar lasts about 10 minutes. The port in Sućuraj is connected to Drvenik on the mainland and it is further from Hvar as it is on the other side of the island, although this connection saves time to tourists coming from Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo, etc. Town parking lot is situated by the bus station. Hotel guests have parking organised by the hotels that they staying in.
BY BUS:
The closest bus station is in Split and is right next to the ferry port. Split has excellent connections in all bus directions. There are buses on the island Hvar-Stari Grad and Jelsa, daily and regularly, and tickets are sold in buses.
BY BOAT: Hvar is connected with mainland by boat lines:
� Split - Stari Grad; Drvenik - Sućuraj; Split - Hvar
� Fastboat connection: Split - Hvar/Hvar - Split, regularly
� Ferry connection: Split - Hvar/Hvar - Split, daily
� Ferry connection: Split - Stari Grad/Stari Grad - Split, daily, regularly
� Ferry connection: Drvenik - Sućuraj/Sućuraj - Drvenik, daily, regularly
In the summer ferry connections with islands are intensified, and there are hydro-boats also. The summer schedule is valid from 31st of May to 28th of September.
Hvar is connected through the port in Stari Grad, and also by all-coast ferry connection Rijeka-Zadar- Split-Stari Grad-Korčula-Dubrovnik-Bari (three times a week), and by international fast boat connection Pescara-Stari Grad- Split (daily), and by international ferry connection Ancona-Stari Grad- Split-Korčula (twice a week).
Jadrolinija is the main boat operator and has all main ferry and boat lines in Croatia.
An additional fast connection between Split - Hvar town and Korcula town is operated by 'Krilo' catamaran.
BY TRAIN:
Every bigger town in Croatia is connected by train, except Dubrovnik. Croatia has direct connection with Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia and Monte Negro, and indirect connections with almost all European countries. The closest train station to Hvar is in Split. This station is right next to the bus station and ferry port.
