The Desert Rose Eco Lodge captures the spirit of the old oasis, and was built to evoke the traditional style of the Oasis villages using the local palm tree branches and natural clay.

Desert Rose Eco Lodge is near the Pyramid Mountain and there is a hot spring just 100 yards away. And best of all, the area is serene and yet only a 15 minute drive from the town centre.

The rooms are tastefully furnished in the Colonial style and have small terraces with spectacular views over the Desert Rose gardens.

There is a Restaurant serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner providing unlimited food (please note on-line rates are half board)

Also an Outdoor café, serving locally produced food looking over a Landscaped garden, with seating and dining areas where you can enjoy marvellous sunsets.

The gardens include a small organic orchard with mango, banana, guava, orange, palm, olive and pomegranate trees. The Eco Lodge also has its own small farm with organically grown vegetables

Directions

Approaching Bawiti from Cairo, you will see a Tourist Police on the right hand side. Keep going straight until you a street on the right that has a sign that says Desert Rose Eco Lodge with a little map and directions. The Eco Lodge is 8 kilometers from here. At the end of the little road you turn left and then a immediate right where you will find another sign to the Eco Lodge. Keep going straight, passing Kasr El Bawiti Hotel on the right , until you find another road sign on the left side on the corner of a street. Turn into that street (unpaved) and continue for 400 meters until you find the Eco Lodge.
