The SJI Hostel is located in Santurce, the hip arts district of downtown San Juan. In this neighborhood decorated by many beautiful murals, you will be among the real people of San Juan and have a chance to experience true puertoriqueidad. As you approach our locale, youll notice the less touristy atmosphere in the form of lower prices and more authentic interactions with those around you. We are a short walk away from San Juans spectacular Art Museum, and a twenty minute, fifty cent bus ride from the cobblestone streets of the colorful colonial city of Old San Juan.
Is our area dangerous? Of course not, we love it and would not be here if it was. We see ourselves as more than a hostel; we are also part of the experience you will remember during your amazing time in PR.
In 2012 we were named the #1 hostel in Puerto Rico by recognized hostel organization, (HOSCAR awards), for our superb value and great service to people like you.
We keep our price low and our standards high. We have a very relaxed way of operating. We prefer to settle you in, show you the things you need to know then send you off to the beach to explore, who knows we might just put the sign on the door and join you. We are staffed by a loyal team and this is the relaxed vibe we want to pass onto you, its the way we do things here in the Caribbean.
