Surrounding Area
Turneffe Atoll is the largest and most biologically diverse coral atoll in the Western Hempisphere. Located 25 miles east of Belize City, Turneffe, approximately 30 miles long and
10 miles wide, is composed of a group of sand and cayes, lagoons, and lush seagrass beds, all surrounded and protected by a living coral reef “ring.” A reef crest and magnificent shallow coral buttresses is followed by reef rim on the outer reef drop-off.
Accommodations

All our private air-conditioned cabanas offer a porch and swinging hammock, facing the eastern Caribbean Sea. Each individual cabana has ceiling fans, one or two beds, nightstands and closet area. The baths are modern and equipped with hot showers. Deluxe cabanas have large sitting areas and other amenities, while families often like our Triplex with adjoining bedrooms and shared porch.
Amenities
To help enhance the experience of all our guests Blackbird is undergoing renovations to add a pool, building a new outdoor dining area and we will also be bringing a new 50 foot dive boat.

Services Offered
Nestled within 1,300 acres of island forest, the
Resort sits on two miles of private, white sand beach. This long-established resort, acclaimed for scuba diving and snorkeling, recently added guided sea kayaking where you can enjoy the surrounding habitat which serves as a feeding and resting area for gregarious dolphins and sea turtles. Blackbird is also the home to over 27 different bird species.

Policies & Restrictions
Children are welcome at Blackbird. Children 6 & under are free and children 11 & under are 1/2 price when sharing a room with their parents.
