Artha sits on a lush 90 acre plot with rolling hills of wooded land and open fields. Spend some time in the pristine wilderness of Wisconsin. Just 10 minutes from the beautiful Chain of Lakes in Waupaca, guests have access to many wonderful out door activities. A 30 minute drive to downtown Stevens Point and just 10 minutes south of Amherst, Artha sits in the heart of central Wisconsin. Come, relax and enjoy this sustainable oasis. Have a family reunion or come to one of our many workshops and retreats held year round.

Accommodations

Our Complimentary Gourmet Breakfasts are served each morning. We use local organic eggs, and other organic or pesticide free veggies (often from our garden) for our breakfasts whenever possible. If you have special dietary needs, just let us know and we will do our best to serve you.
There are organic fair trade coffee, cocoa and tea selections, candies, popcorn and other treats available throughout the day for your pleasure.
Our kitchen is available for your use, if you would like to bring food for lunches and dinners you can prepare your meals in our fully equipped kitchen. Or use the gas grill, located on the deck. A great way to enjoy country living at it's best.

Rooms/Suites

Artha is the place to stay if you are afflicted by chemical sensitivities, we use no VOC paint, no wall to wall carpeting and natural cleaning and laundering products.

JoAnn Kurtz Welling,RN, Licensed Massage Therapist

Since 1986, JoAnn has been adding modalities and applying them as needed with her clients. Over time, that has included Swedish, Esalen, Triggerpoint, Deep Body Work, Sports Massage, Healing Touch, Reichi, and Myafascia Release. She began her training at the Oasis Center for Human Potential in Chicago and has practiced at Fitness Centers, Chiropractic offices, the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair, the National Wellness Conference among many . Presently, she is working out of her studio in her home.

JoAnn will be looking forward to meeting you and offering you a full body massage with your concerns addressed.

Create Your Own Retreat! Come for the weekend or a week, pick from the list of many fun activities and we will help you create and unforgettable vacation. Bring your family or friends, you can also rent the studio space, gazebo and grounds.

Policies & Restrictions

Our Policies

sunOpen year round
sunReservations can be made with a $35 deposit for each night's stay.
sunDeposits are refundable only if cancellation is made at least 2 weeks prior to the reservation. If 14 days or less a gift certificate will be rewarded for the full deposit to use within one year. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or no shows will be charged full room fee.
sunWisconsin State Employee Rate available
We take Credit Cards, Checks or Cash.
Check-in time is between 3 and 10pm unless other arrangements have been made. Check out time is 11 am.
Children are welcome.Children under 12 stay free.
There is no smoking in the b&b.
Pets with approval, $10 per night fee.
Additional person add $15 per room.
Rent all three rooms, $120 per night plus $15 per person per night (six person minimum).

9784 County Road K, Amherst, Wisconsin 54406 USA

From Plover/Hwy 39: Travel east on Hwy 54. Turn left/north on County Road AK. Take your first right onto County road K and drive 1.4 miles, Artha will be on your left at the bottom of a hill.

From Waupaca/Hwy 10: Travel west on Hwy 54 and take County Road TT right/north, follow the road to the left. TT turns into County Road K, continue straight, 3rd driveway on the right before the hill.

From Amherst/Hwy 10: Take County Road A for 4.5 miles and turn left onto County Road K, drive for 2 miles. You will come to a T in the road, take a right continuing on County Road K. Artha will be the third driveway on your right before the hill.
