Surrounding Area

The accommodation is a converted part of an old farmhouse in the village of La Manchica close to the towns of Fuente Alamo and Las Palas. We have single, double twin or triple en suite rooms to let on a room only or bed and breakfast basis. We are only a 20 minute drive away from both the pretty Port of Mazarron,where there are some lovely beaches, and the historical town of Cartagena. We are also within easy reach of many golf courses, the nearest ones being Hacienda del Alamo and the famous La Manga. Also Cartagena Motor Cycle race track is just a short drive away and for walkers and cyclists The Sierra de Espuna Nature Reserve park within easy reach.

Accommodations

All the rooms are newly built with views over the mountains. They are all en suite and have tea/coffee making facilities and TV's. Breakfast is served in the main house or the garden terrace.

The is a local bar, which is a five minute walk away, which serves snacks. There are many bars, restaurants and night clubs in the town of Fuente Alamo which is a ten minute drive away.

Directions

From San Javier Airport follow the signs for Cartagena on to the AP7 motorway. Come off at exit 800 and follow signs for Almeria/Vera. Continue until you see signs for Las Palas/Tallante and take this exit (829). Follow signs for Las Palas & Fuente Alamo and at the 1st roundabout follow sign for Fuente Alamo. At the next roundabout turn right at the La Manchica sign and keep going for about 4kms when you will arrive at the village of La Manchica. Drive straight through the village for approximately another 400/500 metres and you will come to a row of 6 houses on the left hand side. Casa Amelia is the 1st house on the end. Turn left by the white post box pillar and follow the track right round to the back of the house.
