The Legend at Reid Glacier
The "Legend" is a well-maintained 1987 Bayliner 4588 Power Yacht. She has 3 staterooms that sleep 2 people each, all with private doors and portholes. Two bathrooms with vacu-flush toilets, hot and cold running water, shower, galley with 3 burner stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, salon seats 6 comfortably, enclosed pilothouse with separate leather settee for superior viewing of wildlife, Sirius satellite radio, full electronics with laptop GPS system, Epirb, VHF's, USCG 4-star safety vessel, covered back deck, 3-foot custom swim step, equipped with electric downriggers, fish cleaning table, all gear for salmon and halibut saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing gear, zodiac for shore excursions, flying bridge with dual controls, two twin 220 Hino diesels.

We leave from Juneau, Alaska and cruise and fish the waters of Icy Straits, Cross Sound, visiting Excursion Inlet, Glacier Bay National Park, Elfin Cove, Swanson Harbor. All trips depart and return to Juneau, Alaska for flights in and out on Alaska Airlines.

Typical Day

Glacier Bay National Park
Cruise for several hours per day to the next destination. Pick up crab pots for fresh Dungeness Crab, cooked within minutes on the back deck of the boat. Start snacking!! Fish for King Salmon, Coho Salmon or Halibut. Watch wildlife while fishing: whales breaching, eagles perching, sea otters, puffins, moose, deer. Visit the community of Elfin Cove, only accessible by boat or float plane...no roads or cars...just a boardwalk around this little ocean village which is home to only 12 year-round residents. It's like stepping back in time. The Elfin Cove boat harbor is home to tenders who buy fish from the commercial fishermen. Lots of activity in this little enchanting place. Full hot breakfast, lunch, snacks and hot full course meals served onboard.

We can accommodate 4-6 people onboard. We don't mix folks who don't know each other, so you get the group together. We can also take just 2 people, but must have payment for 4. This trip is excellent for families, couples, seniors, singles...it doesn't matter. We will meet your needs.

Sleeping and meals

Three staterooms consist of: 1) A double bed with a single bunk overheard; 2) Two single bunks over and under; 3) An oversized King master bed; All rooms have doors that close for privacy and portholes that open.

Meals: We serve full hot breakfasts every morning with typically eggs, bacon or sausage, hashbrowns, Costco muffins, a fruit, and drinks. Some mornings we will serve french toast or pancakes with bacon or sausage, muffins and fruits. Lunches include sandwiches, hot quesadillas, crab melts, smoked salmon roll-ups, etc. There are always chips and sweets throughout the day. Dinners include Cornish Game Hens, BBQ Rib Eye or NY steaks, BBQ pork loins, a fresh salmon dish, a fresh halibut dish; Meals include a vegetable, breads, rice or potatoes, and desserts. Snacks include smoked salmon dip, crab dip, cheeses/crackers, deviled eggs, and other homemade appetizers.

No pets are allowed onboard; Kids must be over 7 years old; Smoking is not allowed inside the vessel, but smokers can use the outside decks. We don't provide alcohol but you may buy it in Juneau and bring onboard.

Rates are dependent upon the trip: 5 Days/5 Nights for 4 people exclusive is $2985 per person; The price goes down if you have 5 people, and down even more with 6 people. We also offer a 6 Days/6 Nights trip for $3385 per person. Discounts for 5 or 6.

Craig and Sheri's two adult children were born and raised in Alaska as well and still reside there with their spouses and children. You will get genuine Alaska hospitality as well as the knowledge and experiences of the area only offered by someone who calls this beautiful place his "backyard!!"
