Active Adventure

At the CM Ranch you may horseback ride, fish, hike, swim or participate in many other outdoor activities. For over a hundred years, ranch guests have enjoyed basically the same ranch program and routine and many generations of families have made the CM Ranch their "second home".

Typical Day

Guests come for a full week to participate in our CM Ranch program. Here is an example of a typical week:
SUNDAY: Check-in from 3:00pm to 6:00 pm. You will be welcomed by the office crew and your hosts will greet you at dinnertime 6:30pm. Introductions will be made during dinner.

MONDAY:
Morning and afternoon rides. Social gathering on dining room deck at 5:30pm, hosted by the CM crew. History of the ranch and slide show of old ranch photos after dinner.

TUESDAY:
Morning and afternoon rides. Square dance lessons in "Roundup" at 5:00 pm or whenever afternoon rides get back. 8:00 Pm - Square Dance

WEDNESDAY:
Early morning chuck wagon breakfast ride 7:00 am. Family photos will be taken at breakfast site. 2:00 PM – make your own red dirt shirt. After dinner - "Prickly Pair" cowboy music group will perform a show in Roundup promptly at 7:30 PM.

THURSDAY:
All day rides to Whiskey Mountain, Badlands, Jakey's Fork, and other locations. After dinner - Slide show in Roundup at 7:30pm. After slide show - s'mores and stories around the campfire (across from Roundup).

FRIDAY:
Morning and afternoon rides.
Gymkhana for kids at 2:00 PM. 4:00 PM- Children meet in kitchen to help prepare Friday night’s themed dinner. RODEO in Dubois at 8:00 pm. Admission $7.00. Guest participation is encouraged.

SATURDAY:
Morning rides (including kid's "Candy ride"). Team penning for adults and children in arena (times to be announced). Evening cookout at Torrey Creek. Cocktails 6:00pm, dinner 6:30 PM, followed by entertainment by the CM crew. Transportation provided.

SUNDAY: Checkout by 10:30 AM.

Age range, type of group

All ages are welcome at the CM Ranch. Children age 5 and older may ride and fully participate in our ranch program. We have many family reunions at the CM Ranch, including 50th Anniversary celebrations and birthdays.

Sleeping and meals

The CM Ranch features historic log cabins and beautiful log houses that can accommodate families and groups of all sizes. Three excellent meals a day are served family style at the CM Ranch. Special diets can be accommodated. BYOB.

Restrictions

No pets. Smoking in outdoor areas only.

Rates

CM Ranch Rates (all-inclusive) are from $1400 - $1625 per person/per week, plus tax and gratuity. The 2011 summer season runs from June 5 - September 18 and guest stays are from Sunday to Sunday. All June weeks are discounted 10%. Check website for other specials. All inclusive stay at the CM Ranch includes horseback riding, hiking, access to private fishing waters, accommodations in beautiful log cabins or houses, three meals a day, pool, hot tub, volleyball, basketball, softball, horseshoes, evening entertainment, rodeos, square dancing, daily maid service. Pack trips available into the Wind River Mountains.

Other Information

Most guests rent cars, but we can pick up guests at the airport for an additional fee.

Discounts Offered

All June weeks are discounted 10%. Return guests receive an additional discount.

September specials are Sept 4 - 9, 2011 and Sept 11 - 16, 2011 for $850.00 per person plus tax and gratuity.
