Surrounding Area

The fabulous coastline, which stretches from Valencia in the north to Murcia in the south, has over 100 kilometres of beaches many of which have won the prestigious 'blue flag' award in their time. The region boasts a wide variety of sporting facilities, two of the best known naturally being golf and sailing, both of which are well catered for. The whole area is steeped in history, something which becomes evident in the many fiestas, or festivals, which number over 400 and are held throughout the year.

April sees the festival of San Jordi (St George) in Alcoi, the 'capital' of the Moors and Christians. The landing of the Moorish ships takes place at the beach of La Vilajoyosa in July, and there are midnight parades in Villena in September, all linked to the same theme.
Undoubtedly the most well known festival is that of the bonfires of Sant Joan (St John) which happen all along the coast from June, with the largest and most spectacular being in and around Alicante itself.

Mediterranean cuisine is always worth investigating, and the local variations of the region include a rice dish called 'Arros Abanda', a fish dish on the coast yet inland flavoured instead with rabbit and snails. Other rice dishes are also popular, such as 'arroz con costra', baked with egg crust and, of course, the ubiquitous paella makes a welcome appearance all over the region.

La Marina, is situated South of Alicante, on the beautiful Costa Blanca.
The urbanisation is part of the town of San Fulgencio and lies next to the urbanisations of El Oasis, La Escuera and Las Pesqueras. It has been established for 6 years and is one of the largest in Spain with over 6,000 houses, it is still growing. Despite its size it has a friendly and hospitable community.

Urb. La Marina is only 4km from the sea and is well supported with local businesses and services. People from all nationalities have chosen La Marina as their holiday destination for many years and many have made it their permanent home. The mix of different languages and cultures makes La marina an enviable place to live and there is always someone to share a friendly chat and leisurely coffee.

The neighboring La Marina village, offers facilities such as camping, primary school and language school as well as other well established businesses.

The local road network means that major towns and cities are easily accessible and there is a local bus link to Alicante, Guardamar and Torrevieja. The train service from Alicante is well regarded and offers excursions to destinations further afield such as Madrid and Barcelona.

The area enjoys a fantastic sunny climate, with over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year.

The beaches are of golden sand and are clean and safe, they offer fun and relaxation for all the family. Various activities and water sports are available or just lay back and enjoy the sun.

The people are relaxed and friendly and our gastronomy, some of the best in Spain. Typical local dishes include various Tapas, Paella and rice dishes as well as local freshly caught seafood. Enjoy your meal with a glass of chilled wine and soak in the atmosphere in this wonderful location.

The villa CONCHI is very comfortably furnished for 4 people (can be up to 6). It is a real home from home. All facilities provided: microwave, fridge-freezer, dish - and washing machines, cable TV, gas heaters, air conditioner.

The rear & roof terrace has lovely views - catching the sun all day. There is room to park one car in the drive. Private swimming pool, staircase to the roof terrace,

Lovely view towards mountains and also Guardamar.
