Known worldwide for its local climate that provides the much sought after dry, light, champagne powder, Big White offers the choice of 118 designated runs, 16 lifts, 5 alpine bowls, the TELUS Park terrain garden, 25km of Nordic trails, snowmobiling trails and Canada's biggest tubing park across 2,765 acres of spectacular terrain. The terrain also offers the haunting, snow-encrusted glades of the world-famous 'Snow Ghosts' that span over 1,525 acres and have been repeatedly recognized by Ski Canada for 'Best Tree Skiing' and 'Best Glade Skiing'.<p>Big White experiences an impressive annual snowfall of 750cm and a moderate base elevation of 1,755m/5,758ft that provides mild average daily temperatures of -5C/23F. It's always been about family fun and creating lasting memories at Big White. The resort's Ski and Snowboard School offers progressive group and individual lessons to adults and children of all abilities. Off the slopes, Big White offers a wide array of winter-fun family activities including snowshoeing, cross country skiing, tubing, ice wall climbing, ice-skating and Kids Centre. There is also no shortage of places to relax and replenish at the end of the day, with a choice of over 17 on-mountain restaurants, cafes and delis offering a quick bite to eat or a fine dining experience to cater for every occasion.
