Well-equipped and established in the Kruger National Park, Skukuza has excellent facilities and a range of wildlife in the region, including the Big Five, indigenous plants, herds of grazing animals and exotic bird life. Popular for families, couples and small groups, Kruger Park guided safari tours are best suited for guests who want to experience a wildlife safari in true African style.
Early mornings and late afternoons will be spent on game drives in search of wildlife animals, and the time between game drives can be spent relaxing and enjoying the peaceful tranquillity of the African bush. Typical accommodation used on Kruger safaris will be in twin bed, en suite, air conditioned grass roof chalets.
All game drives are done in open safari viewing vehicles to give guests the best possible wildlife and scenery viewing opportunities. Safaris are conducted by professional guides who have excellent knowledge of the Game Reserve, with all its history, cultural heritage wildlife and fauna, and will share all his or her knowledge with you during your safari tour.
Typical Day
Experienced and personable rangers are coupled with local trackers. Together they ensure a first class safari experience.
Guided walks with an armed ranger may also be arranged. Helpful hint: Do not head into the bush in the middle of the day during summer months! Walks are usually arranged in the more moderate hours of the early morning. Being on foot brings an altogether different view of the bush.
A typical daily programme at Arathusa Safari Lodge will be as follows:

Walking safari - discuss time with Ranger

For guest’s convenience, each chalet has:
•Twin beds

Policies & Restrictions
•Children are more than welcome on all Kruger Park guided safaris; however there are various restrictions regarding bush activities and room configurations. When enquiring about this tour make certain you include the children’s ages for us to be able to send you the child rates and child policy restrictions.
•Tailor made tours can be arranged on request.
•All tours are payable in South African Rands (ZAR).
•The currency conversion tool used on our website is a third party application, and should be used as an indication only. It is advisable to check exchange rates with your bankers on the day you book your safari tour.
•Prices are inclusive of return road transfers from Johannesburg to Skukuza Rest Camp, and transport for the duration of the safari tour.
•All tourist attractions and mandatory stops visited en route to Skukuza Rest Camp, as well as the return trips are brief and subject to change depending upon time constraints of the day.
•The tour departure time from Johannesburg is 9:00 am on the first day of the safari. Should you be arriving in Johannesburg later than 9:00 am, it is advisable to let us arrange an additional night’s accommodation in one of the ideally situated hotels or guest houses close to the Airport.
•In addition guests are advised that should they be flying out of Johannesburg on the last day of the safari, they should not book flights earlier than 6:30pm.
