Khun Chae National Park, located one hour northeast of Chiangmai, was declared a national park in 1995 due to its important water resources, extensive forests, wildlife, beautiful waterfalls and scenic views. Deriving its name from Khun Chae Waterfalls, this 270 square kilometer national park has been inhabited for approximately 100 years by Thai villagers.

A romantic candle lit dinner for two cooked by your own private chef and served at the hill top location with breathtaking views over the Valley or a more discrete candle lit dinner served by the reflexion pool - the choice is yours !

When you first arrive at the Rainforest Retreat our resident chef will discuss your food preferences and at the beginning of each day you can decide where and when you would like to eat - our food is sourced from local organically grown farms and in many cases from our own organically grown gardens - even down to the tea and coffee we serve
