A Door to Italy offers a wide variety of general and specialised courses, geared to the specific needs of our students. Courses are catered for groups or individuals and for people coming from different countries and with different purposes and are available all year round. Our Italian language courses can also be held in companies or at student's accommodation.
In winter season extensive evening courses are held for all levels' students.
We also offer courses combining Italian language and culture, ranging from literature and history to cookery and local crafts, diving and photography.
More targeted courses offer Italian for professionals, such as Italian for business (spoken and written), Italian for law, Italian for healthcare, Italian for hoteliers and for the tourist industry, Italian language of the Opera.

Typical Day

Lessons are every day from Monday to Friday from 09:10 until 13:00. Each hour lasts 55 minutes and at 11:00 we have a small coffee break (here at school we have the coffee corner with snacks, sweets and coffee for our students).
For students enrolled to the Intensive courses, lessons will continue also in the afternoon, starting at 14:00 and for 2 hours.
It means that anyway, even in a full immersion situation, the student has free time at disposal from 16:00 o'clock to visit the town and participate to our social events.

Age range, type of group

Our students are come from all over the world, so the group classes are really interesting!
The groups are structured for a maximum of 8 students but the average is of 4-6 students for each classroom. This, to permit and obtain the maximum attention and participation of all the students who can easly take part to the lesson. Teachers often use role-play techniques, always permitting to all the students to take part at the conversation and the student’s learning is easier.
