is set on the beachfront and surrounded by a tropical coconut plantation (pronounced ow-ree) Island, just 3kms across the channel from Espiritu Santo, Vanuatus largest island . <BR><BR>Vanuatu formerly known as New Hebrides is a group of 83 islands in the Pacific Ocean about 1900kms north east of Brisbane Australia . Visitors to Aore Island Resort fly direct from Australia or via Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu to Pekoa International Airport, Santo . It is then only a 5 minute drive from the airport to the Resort Ferry and a 10 minute ride across the Segond Channel to the resort . <BR><BR>The Resort Ferry takes you away from Santo and is only a short trip to the private Aore Island Resort . On arrival you will be impressed with the clear blue water and the number of fish, we call it our natural fish pond . The wharf leads to the large Traditional Melanesian Style Nakamal . The Nakamal is situated on the waterfront and has views across the channel . The Beachfront Bungalows spread out on either side on a sandy coral beach running the full length of the resort and large shady trees offer a cool retreat from the sun . The 12m pool is set beside the Nakamal .
