East Texas is known for its Piney Woods, gently rolling hills, scenic countryside. Houston County Lake is approximately a 1500 acre jewel of a lake; mostly undeveloped shoreline. Crockett is centrally located between Houston, Dallas and Austin. It is a site well suited to families or corporate team retreats. Crockett Family Resort has meeting halls to accommodate several groups at a time or a very large group. There is a cafe for lunch and dinner; catering available. We have a convenience store with live bait; boat stalls for docking your boat, launch, and benches for fishing off the pier. East Texas is a Music Meca with a variety of venues. We have 30 rooms with the dorm and 21 acres to roam.

Vacation Rental Property

Nestled in the heart of the piney woods of East Texas lies one of the most beautiful lakes in Texas, Houston County Lake. Situated centrally to Dallas, Houston and Austin, it is still a jewel for trophy bass. Approximately 1500 acres of spring-fed reservoir located about 9 miles northwest of Crockett has bragging rights for abundant bass, crappie, bream and catfish for pier fishing or from a boat in any area of the lake. Our 21 acre resort with waterfront cafe, marina/store, and activity park specializes in catering to church groups, weddings, and reunions with families in the summertime; and winter Texans, retreats, corporate team meetings and RV clubs in the winter. The lodging and the RV sites are available for nightly, weekly or monthly rental. The clubhouse is an air conditioned building 44X76' with two kitchen areas and restrooms. Two separate meetings, reunions, or receptions can be held simultaneously with privacy. In addition, there is an open air pavilion 20X50' with water frontage available for functions. In-house catering can be arranged or private groups can be accommodated in the cafe.
We offer pool and lake swimming, rentals for paddleboats, kayak, canoe, fishing boat, and miniature golf. Also available are volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, and playground equipment. Large watercraft and skiing are allowed for water sports and great fishing can be found in coves, creek channels and around both of the islands. We are a quiet, country retreat open year round. Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

All our rooms/cabins have a kitchen. We have a 2 bedroom cabin with two separate baths that sleeps 9 people. The dorm sleeps 20 and has a kitchen. Most of our rooms or cabins are configured for a family of 4 and one bathroom. There are duplexes and 4plexes with rooms next to each other; some with a lake view. Cabins are individual cabins and located in a community arrangement surrounded by pine trees. Most rooms have a double bed and twin beds; cabins have a double bed and bunk beds. All cabins/rooms/cottages are within general proximity to each other.

Amenities

Cable TV is provided, air conditioned rooms/cabins/cottages, free wireless internet, the average kitchen has minimal kitchen utensils and a place setting for 4 people. The linens are furnished on the beds. Please bring your towels and soap products for the kitchen and the bath; these are not furnished. Daily maid service is not furnished. There are laundry facilities on the property. Some rooms are provided with DVD player.
The Clubhouse #2 has a wood burning fireplace, kitchen, restrooms, banquet tables and chairs. Catering is available.
There is pool and lake swimming, fishing off the pier, equipment check out and rentals.

Policies & Restrictions

We ask there be no smoking inside the rooms/cabins. Pets are allowed in designated rooms only for an additional fee. 10 PM quiet time.

Rates & Availability

Cabins start at $75.00 per night for 2 people; rooms $85.00/2 people per night to $95.00/2 people per night; additional people are $10.00 per night with children age 6 and under free with their parents. Cottages are $135.00/2 people per night; Cabin i is $145/4 people per night. The dorm is $25.00 per bed per night.
Super Special 5 day rate is available Sunday night through Thursday night, excluding holidays. Weekly and monthly rentals are also available. Memorial Day, 4th July, and Labor Day weekends are $10.00 additional per night.
