Inn To End is a Northern California walking and trekking tour company providing self-guided coastal mountain hikes in the European style of a walking holiday: Inn to Inn. Everything is arranged for you so that you can have a relaxing holiday. Accommodations are arranged and paid. Luggage will be transported as you hike comfortably to your next Inn each day. Breakfasts are provided at the Inns, and customized maps guide you stress-free along the unparalleled beauty of a pristine stretch of California's Coast.

With our services, you will travel with your partner, family or friends with the confidence of a knowledgeable local and with the freedom to manage your own time. You will not be in a group of strangers, and your trip fits your schedule!

Walkers should be fit enough to walk about 7 miles each day for at least two days in a row. Our website details daily elevation change and distances for each of our trips. Walking can be at a leisurely pace - as there are many sights to take in!

More advanced walking options are provided to you in your Custom Trip Guide that you will receive in the mail prior to your walk.

Typical Day

Your walk is designed to guide you and your companion(s) each day through out-of the way towns and preserved land along both popular and little-known trails and paths near the California coast. In your first and second day, you will stroll across San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge into the sailing town of Sausalito. The second day, hike through fragrant coastal hills and valleys and trek above rugged ocean cliffs. Your third day, you might wander among ancient redwoods in Muir Woods, heading to Muir Beach or continue up the coast to the Point Reyes National Seashore, through Bolinas or to Stinson beach. Your route depends on the trip that you choose.

Each afternoon of your journey, you will arrive at your country refuge Inn - care-free and invigorated by your adventure of the day to experience the food and wine for which this area is famous.

Recommended for active people of all ages above 12. Older children that enjoy hiking long distances are welcome!

No smoking on the trails, no pets on most trails or in the Inns. Must be able to walk 7 miles within 7 hours.
