Following the success of the Frangipani Hotel in Siem Reap, in early 2011 the Frangipani hotel group has taken over operation of the former Sydney Hotel. The hotel is ideally located on Wat Bo Road, close enough to walk to the Old Market, but not too close to hear the hustle and bustle of the daytime activities. The hotel is also close to the restaurants and bars of Pub Street, but you will not hear the loud music if you want to retire early to see the sunrise at 4:30am.</P><p> The Old Market is approximately a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the Central Market is about a 5 minute walk. Siem Reap airport is 7km from the hotel and the bus station is only 3km away. If you reserve a room and let the hotel know your arrival details, the hotel will provide free pick up for you. However, most bus companies pick you up from the hotel anyway, so you should not have any problem if you are arriving or departing from the bus station.</P><p> Angkor Wat is 6km from the hotel. There are no Hotels closer, because the Ancient City of Angkor is a conservation area so no Hotels are allowed to be built there.</P><p> This second phase of the Frangipani Hotel in Siem Reap offers a selection of standard single, twin and double rooms.</P><p> The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood one block east of the Siem Reap river and 8 minutes walk from the popular 'Pub Street' restaurant area. It's an ideal base from which to explore the Angkor temples or visit Siem Reap's environmental attractions.</P><p>.
