Independently Australian and English owned, The Aubrey is the first true boutique hotel in Santiago . Located at the foot of San Cerro Cristobal Hill in the bohemian barrio of Bellavista, Santiago's hippest neighbourhood, boasting chic restaurants, cafes and bars and an arty atmosphere . The hotel is the result of a beautiful restoration project spanning 3 years of two Spanish colonial mission style mansions formerly the home of the Chilean political dynasty, the Duran family with a unique history and was the setting for 30 years of the 'Almuerzos Legendarios de cada Jueves' . Designer-fashioned salons and rooms are individually created as state of the art with unique comfort and a spacious atmosphere . The Aubrey opened it's doors in March 2010 . It is on the Condes Nast Traveller Hot List 2010 .
