Casa das Artes was specially designed for responsible travel, so it is becoming one of the most important meeting places for researchers, volunteers and other people working for socially relevant causes in the Southwestern Amazon. The owner Flavio is a Drama Professor at the local University and is also the head of many vounteer projects involving environmental preservation and education for young people living in social risk.

The guesthouse is located near downtown Rio Branco and next to grocery stores and restaurants. It is possible to walk to most of the best attractions in Rio Branco, like the Parque da Maternidade and Palácio Rio Branco. One of the highlights at the property is the organic backyard, with typical fruits from the Amazon. There are only 3 bedrooms for guests, each with private bathroom, hot shower and air conditioned. The whole house was recently refurbished ad renewed preserving its countryside style, and now Casa das Artes is probably the most peaceful place where to stay in Rio Branco, with birds singing and the shadow from the trees preserving temperature lower than most of the places in town.

Internet cable and TV with local channels only is offered at the lobby.

Directions

To get there take a taxi from the airport (about R$ 40 / 40 minutes ride) or a bus to TERMINAL URBANO and change to bus TROPICAL, leaving the bus after Tropical Gas Station. From the bus stop take the first street to the right and the next first to the left. It is the 4th house on the right side.

By bus: take the 'Morada do Sol' lane from city terminal. 2nd stop after Tropical Gas station

By car: after taking the right at Tropical Gas Station, take the second street to the right and first street to the left. It is the fourth house on the right side.
