Roujiya is a cozy and modern (yet distinctly Japanese) family-owned guest house in the heart of Kyoto.
We are situated in a quiet area just a short walk from Nijo Station and close to......

- The biggest 100 yen shop in Kyoto
When you use a bicycle, you can go anywhere in Kyoto city!
We offer a bicycle rental in our guesthouse.
We have a good connection for trains (JR, subway, Hankyu line, Keifuku line), so you don't have to take a bus (it is too crowded around the touristic area) .
Roujiya offers a sense of calm, community, and harmony - just what life in Kyoto is all about!
We offer fun and inviting lodgings in the heart of a tranquil Kyoto neighborhood - not a round-the-clock party. We aspire to provide guests with a uniquely Kyoto-style ambience, and peaceful relaxation is the order of the day. Our evenings are calm and restful. So we have curfews and bedtimes, because of being in a traditional area where neighboring buildings are mere inches away, we ask guests to keep noise levels down, especially after dark. If your picture of a great time in Kyoto involves staying up late into the night and partying hard, we strongly suggest that you to seek accommodations elsewhere.

We close the guesthouse from 11:00 to 16:00 because of the cleaning.
You could leave the baggage between 8:00 and 11:00 without any contact.
If you'd like to do so in an outside hours(11:00 to 16:00), there are lockers in the Nijo Station(both JR and subway) , BiVi(shopping mall near the Nijo Station) and Omiya Station(Hankyu Line).
Only two people are running.

We require full payment upon check in time.
Cancellation Policy
The cancellation charges are as belows:
�3-7 days before Check In date　　　　　　50% of room charges
�1-2 days before Check In date　　　　　　70% of room charges
�Actual day of Check In or No-show　　　100% of room charges
From JR Kyoto Sta.
about 5mins by local train (get off at Nijo Sta. 180yen) and 6mins walk
You should take the Sagano-Sanin line from platform #31-33 and get off at Nijo Sta.
Go out from the Exit(East Side) and turn left(you can see the MOS Burger). Across the Senbon-dori St., go straight to the East on the Oike-dori St. and you'll see the motor cycle shop on your left.
And then turn right at the 1st light. After few minutes you will see a park on your right.
Still go straight for a while to the South and then turn left at the small alley which is between the park and the Sanjo Market.
You'll see the white building, that is our guesthouse.
about 15mins by taxi (about 1500yen)
From Osaka
get off at Omiya Sta.(Hankyu Rwy.) and 10mins walk
Walk Omiya-diri St. to the Sanjo Market.
Turn left at the corner. Go straight till the barber shop whose name is 'BEST' on your right and then turn right.
Turn right at the 1st alley, you see our guesthouse on your left.
Our guesthouse is not on the main street but on the small street(ROUJI). So please bring our map which is on the photos in case you get lost.
