It's been decorated with a pop art theme, and is the ideal starting point for falling in love with this city.
The best of Lisbon is but a step away. In our hostel you'll find comfort, hygiene, safety and a readily available team to advise you on the top places to visit, as well as the finest bars and restaurants.
In our hostel we have shared dormitories with 2, 4, 6 and 8 beds and a shared bathroom. We have three twin rooms and one female dormitory with a shared bathroom. If you prefer, there is also one double room with a shared bathroom.
We can accommodate up to 48 people. Our rooms are all very sunny. Small lights and locker box for your small personal stuff are available with every bed.
Benefiting from a unique and privileged location in the monumental and museum centre of Lisbon, People Hostel is an ideal starting point to explore the culture, the history, the architecture, and in a relaxed way, the soul and the identity of the city.

Airport
Arriving at Lisbon by airplane at Portela International Airport (Aeroporto Internacional da Portela)
Subway:
Take subway at Airport to Cais do Sodré and then take the tram car/streetcar 15E (direction Algés) or the buses 28 (direction Restelo) or 714 (direction Outurela). If you take the tram car/streetcar 15E, get out at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos Monastery) stop. Then walk to Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street), located at the right of the Monastery, and go up until you reach People Hostel (nº 16). If you take the buses 28 or 714, get out at the Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street) stop. Walk down the sidewalk, you reached People Hostel!
Buses:
During the day: At the Airport, take the bus 44 or 91 to Cais do Sodré. At Cais do Sodré, take the tram car/streetcar 15E (direction Algés) or the buses 28 (direction Restelo) or 714 (direction Outurela). If you take the tram car/streetcar 15E, get out at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos Monastery) stop. Then walk to Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street), located at the right of the Monastery, and go up until you reach People Hostel (nº 16). If you take the buses 28 or 714, get out at the Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street) stop. Walk down the sidewalk, you reached People Hostel!
After 11pm: At the Airport, take the bus 208 to Cais do Sodré. There, take the bus 201 (direction Linda-a-Velha), and get out at the Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street) stop. Walk down the sidewalk, you reached People Hostel!
By car:
Get onto the 2ª Circular higway, direction Aeroporto-Benfica (Airport-Benfica);
Enter the Eixo Norte-Sul (North-South fast lane), direction South (Sul);
Leave on the Alcântara/Belém exit;
Go through Av. Ceuta till the end and turn to Av. da Índia;
When you reach Belém, go towards Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos Monastery), and enter Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street), which is at the right of the Monastery;
Go up, People Hostel (nº 16) is now on your right!
From Santa Apolonia Train Station
Buses:
During the day: Just take the bus 28 at Santa Apolónia (direction Restelo), and get out at the Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street) stop. Walk down the sidewalk, you reached People Hostel!
After 9:50pm: At Santa Apolónia, take the bus 28 to Cais do Sodré. There, take the bus 201 (direction Linda-a-Velha), and get out at the Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street) stop. Walk down the sidewalk, you reached People Hostel!
After 11:40pm: At Santa Apolónia, take the bus 210 to Cais do Sodré. There, take the bus 201 (direction Linda-a-Velha), and get out at the Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street) stop. Walk down the sidewalk, you reached People Hostel!
By car:
Leave Santa Apolónia heading west, keeping the river at your left, until you reach Belém;
When you reach Belém, go towards Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos Monastery), and enter Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street), which is at the right of the Monastery;
Go up, People Hostel (nº 16) is now on your right!
From Sete Rios Bus Terminal (Terminal Rodoviário de Sete Rios)
Buses:
During the day: At Sete Rios, take the bus 758 to Cais do Sodré. At Cais do Sodré, take the tram car/streetcar 15E (direction Algés) or the buses 28 (direction Restelo) or 714 (direction Outurela). If you take the tram car/streetcar 15E, get out at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos Monastery) stop. Then walk to Rua dos Jerónimos (Jerónimos street), located at the right of the Monastery, and go up until you reach People Hostel (nº 16).
