One of the nearest hostel to North Station (Gara de Nord). Our hostel is small and 'homy' in an the old building (1928). Here you can feel and breath the scent of passed times and enjoy the atmosphere of the 'small Paris' as our city used to be called in the past. We of the are a 2 star hostel and not a 5 star hotel.. We offer just a clean bed, a clean shower, laundry, water for drink, tea, coffee, a decent breakfast and friendly staff. We are just another lily leaf on which to rest away from home. For the very deserving people or sensitive ones that don't like to share or enjoy having people around, we kindly suggest to book a room in a hotel and not in our hostel.
Please note: Sometimes our guest need to extend their staying here (due to some health problem or flight tickets issues). We consider that is more convenient to transfer the new arrivals to another hostel, on our charge, at the same conditions maybe better, same price maybe better, same area maybe better. The reasons are : 1) the already existing guests got used with the directions for this place and it is not nice to send them to another place with new directions, 2) they already used the room and the sheets, they have their things unpacked here, 3) for the new guests it doesn't make any difference if they get the same accommodation conditions, unpack from the beginning to another place and get used from the beginning with the new directions of the hostel where we transfer them personally. We don't simply send the guests by their own to another hostel. We always arrange everything prior their arrival and we go there together just to make sure that everything is OK. We use only the hostelworld booking engine, not other booking engines, so we don't make over bookings in purpose but we always accept the extending of staying in our hostel for the reasons above mentioned.

We created a calm and intimate atmosphere where you can relax and really feel at home. It is a small and homely place with a limited number of rooms and guests so if you want a quiet place, personal attention and good accommodation at a reasonable price. This doesn't mean that you will have everything just for your own especially when the hostel is fully booked.

We offer pick up from Otopeni Airport (Henri Coanda) for 15 EuroTake care ! Some taxi drivers are not fair and it happen to ask for 100 Euro, 200 Euro 200 RON or at least 100 Ron. Don't pay them such amount and tell them you call the police ! Just for your info, the police station is at the corner of our street so don't be afraid of taxi drivers if they try to push you to pay more. Some taxi drivers are honest and polite but we are shame for the others.

The location is close to all public transportation, 15 min walking distance for Gara de Nord (North Railway station) and within walking distance to most of Bucharest hot spots.

*BY TRAIN :If you come from railway station (Gara de Nord - exit on the left side of the station building) keep going straigh away on Calea Grivitei toward the centre direction, pass in front of IBIS Hotel on your right side, keep going straight away on CALEA GRIVITEI just before the intersection with DACIA avenue (bvd.) When you see the intersection in front of you, before this intersection, make immediately right on a small street, pass the first street (Vulcanescu) and enter in the same direction straight away on THEODOR AMAN street. Than second street on the right. Our street it is a small one and usually people doesn't know it. You have to ask about Calea Grivitei (Ibis Hotel) and if you walk just straight away to downtown direction you will see the intersection. Shortly, CALEA GRIVITEI to the downtown direction and make right on Theodor Aman before the intersection with Dacia avenue (blvd.) Normally it is 15 min walking slow straight away on Calea Grivitei and than right on Theodor Aman and second right on our street G-ral Dona No.11.
*BY PLANE. If you arrive by plane, take 783 bus from the airport to P-TA ROMANA (ROMANA Square). From there take 133 bus (direction to Gara Basarab) for 2 stops or walk on B-dul DACIA (Dacia Avenue) straight away and than after the second intersection (with Calea Grivitei) make left on Theodor Aman street and than the second to the right is our street G-ral Nicolae DONA no.11.
