Hello, Welcome to Hualien City (Hualien County), a beautiful place surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on its east and the grand Central Mountain Range on its west. Famous for its picturesque scenery and the wide array of natural resources, Hualien is home to the popular Taroko National Park, East Coast National Scenic Area, East Rift Valley Scenic Area and the Yushan National Park. With the towering mountains, amazing rock formations that lined the East Coast and a vast cultural diversity, Hualien has become a top choice destination for both the locals and international tourists.

The Monkey Surfing Backpackers Hostel- We are located along a quiet street on Lin-Sen Road, Hualien City, one can expect a good night's sleep. Our hostel is peaceful, spacious, clean and cozy. Our beds are safe with sturdy wooden bed frames instead of metal. Every room has a private toilet equipped with strong shower jets.

We are also strategically located close to the bar area which is a 3-minute walk away. There is also a sports bar, a couple of spas, basketball courts, convenience stores and eateries specializing in foreign cuisines, which is a short distance away. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk downtown; 10 minutes to walk to the Starbucks in town; and the train station is a 10-15minute walk away. You are strongly advised to make a reservation via e-mail or phone. A pick-up service at the train station, airport or any other location is available upon request.

Our hostel boasts a nice, friendly and amazing atmosphere for all backpackers and travelers to wind down at the end of the day. We offer a place to stay inspired by a LOHAS life, with a slow-paced and relaxed atmosphere for all of you. We also provide pillowcases and bed linens alongside with housekeeping everyday. Directions

When you arrived at Hualien Train Station(花蓮火車站) , go straight to the GUO-LIAN 3RD RD.(國聯三路) ,when you on the GUO-LIAN 3RD RD.(國聯三路),you will cross the GUO-LIAN 1ST RD with traffic lights(國聯一路) and cross the GUO-LIAN 2ND RD with traffic lights(國聯二路). Then when you arrival the GUO-LIAN 5TH RD.(國聯五路) and turn right . And go straight on the GUO-LIAN 5TH RD.(國聯五路), you will corss the SHANG-SHIAU ST.(商校街) and ,MING-SHIN ST.(明心街), then on the same road will become the JIN-FONG ST. Go straight and not too far, you will meet three fork in the road ,the cenctr one is the JIN FONG(FENG) ST.(進豐街), about 50 meter by walking, you will see the signboard -

this way just need 15 minutes from Train Station to Monkey Surfing Backpackers Hostel by walking.
