A-Town Hostel is an eco-friendly hostel. With friendly and helpful staff, A-Town Hostel allows travelers and volunteers to experience Tanzanian culture in a comfortable environment.

A-Town Hostel has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, a dining room, and living area, porch, a parking space, large garden, and a security guard who watches the hostel every night.

We are located in Sanawari. Sanawari is a sub-village in Arusha, located across from the traffic light and 5 minutes away from the town center.

Arusha, Tanzania (dubbed A\'Town) is centrally located near some of Eastern Africa\'s greatest tourist destinations: the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Mt Kilimanjaro, Arusha National Park, and Mount Meru. No matter what you want to make out of your trip to Tanzania, we can make it happen. Volunteer for free or book your excursions through us and the booking fee will be donated to our energy projects.

Directions

We are located in Sanawari. Sanawari is a sub-village in Arusha, located across from the traffic light and 5 minutes away from the town center.

Kilimanjaro Airport is approximately 60km (45 minutes) from the city center. A taxi ride costs $50 US but many airlines run a shuttle service for free or $10. Arusha Municipal Airport (ARK) is on the outskirts of the city but only runs domestic flights, mostly to Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam, and charters.

Arusha can be reached by express coach from Nairobi (Kenya, 6 hours), Dar es Salaam (12 hours), and Kampala (Uganda, 17 hours) with direct services also available from Mwanza, Tanga, and Lushoto.
