Grunewald Guild is a community which celebrates the expression of faith in art. We offer a variety of affordable lodging options on our 16-acre campus, situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and adjacent to the Wenatchee River.

The Fiber Arts Studio contains five double rooms and two bathrooms. All rooms on the ground floor are handicap accessible. The Homestead provides accommodations also in five double rooms. There are two bathrooms, a hospitality area, laundry room and living room with views into the quiet forest.

The Library was the original schoolhouse here in the Plain Valley, and now features a cozy, dorm-style sleeping loft. The Yurt is a modern version of the traditional dwellings used by the nomadic peoples of central Asia. It is a great space of rest and respite, nestled within the pines on our property.

The Guild is located near the Glacier Peak Wilderness Area, with hiking & biking and river rafting in the warmer season and snow-shoeing & cross-country skiing in the winter months.

Directions

By Car:
From Wenatchee or I-90 via Blewett Pass: Go W on US-2/97 toward Leavenworth. After Safeway and across the bridge, turn R on the Chumstick Hwy (State Route 207). Go 13 miles. Bear R on Beaver Valley Rd, pass downtown Plain, cross the bridge and turn L on River Road. Look for the Guild sign and banners, second driveway on your left. Time: About 1 hr from Wenatchee. About 30 mins from Leavenworth.

From Seattle: Go E on US-2. At Coles Corner (about 20 miles from the top of Steven’s Pass, just past milepost 84), turn L onto State Route 207 toward Lake Wenatchee State Park. Turn R onto Beaver Valley Road. Turn R on River Road. Look for Guild sign and banners on your left. Time: About 2 hr (120 mi) from Seattle. About 30 mins from the top of Stevens Pass.

By Plane:Major airlines terminate at the Seattle-Tacoma (SeaTac) airport with shuttle plane service via Horizon Air to Wenatchee. Some airlines have agreements with Horizon, and you may find better deals with them. You may also consider bus service from SeaTac to the Guild.

By Bus: Northwestern Trailways operates two busses a day from downtown Seattle to Leavenworth. Cost is about $24 one way. There is a morning bus and an afternoon bus, arriving in Leavenworth around 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
