Asahidake is the highest mountain in Hokkaido located in the eastside of Daisetsuzan Mountains in Sounkyo District and one of the most popular mountain resorts in Hokkaido . There are many activities throughout the year, such as star-filled night sky, hiking to field which is filled with blossoming alpine plants in summer and skiing on the real powder snow in the winter .
