WAYRA offers different Spanish programs including the Spanish&Surf package, medical Spanish, intensive or private classes and even a special children program. The school is accredited by the Instiituto Cervantes in Spain and is also a DELE examination center.
WAYRA has many years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language; it is actually the oldest Spanish school in the whole province of Guanacaste.

Typical Day

Classes run usually for 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday. The rest of the day, the students go usually to the beach and enjoy the free time surfing, relaxing, swimming or doing homeworks. Twice a week, we organize free activities like latin dance classes, cooking classes, sunset watching, volleyball or soccer at the beach and many more.
On the weekend our students have the possibility to visit nearby nationalparks such as Arenal, Monteverde, Rincón de la Vieja etc.

Age range, type of group

The children's program is for children from 6-13 and the teenager program for 14-17 years old.
The average age from our students is 25 years old, but often we do get older students and even retired people.

Sleeping and meals

Students that stay with host families have breakfast and dinner included. Students which chose to stay at one of the student houses, have the breakfast included.

Rates

Rates start at USD 280.00 per week for a 20 hrs program. Included is the registration fee, placement test, books and a certificate at the end of the course.

Discounts Offered

Twice a year, during our low season in April and September, we do offer special rates for students that decide to take classes during this time of the year.
