Situated in a nineteenth century villa in historic Santa Teresa, Villa Leonor is a rural paradise in the heart of Rio de Janeiro!
With views out across the city, flanked by mango, banana and bamboo trees, you're still just a short walk from the wild nightlife of Lapa, the bohemian bars of Santa Teresa and the bus-van-metro links to the beaches in the Zona Sul or Botafogo for Sugarloaf. Santa Teresa is also at the foot of Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer Statue) and close to the intercity bus station and the airports.
We have double, triple and quadruple private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a mixed six-bed dormitory with two bathrooms (one ensuite, one shared). There is a dedicated kitchen and a large terrace bar with spectacular views. Breakfast, bedding and wifi are all included.

Trams, buses and vans stop just at the top of the street (Costa Bastos), about 30m away from our door.
Tram: from Carioca station, take the tram for 'Paula Matos'
Bus: from Rua da Carioca in the centre, or Avenida Gomes Freire in Lapa, take the 214 bus
Van: from Gloria metro, walk 50m along the road towards Lapa and take the van marked 'Santa Teresa'
Taxis from the international airport (R$45*) or bus station (R$15*): to get these prices, make them use the meter by taking a taxi dropping someone off at the departures section and tell the driver to enter Santa Teresa by Rua Paula Matos. At the top you reach Largo das Neves, where the tram tracks start. Follow them 50m: we're the first road on the left.
