Every week we are asked where we find such an incredible staff, and we feel blessed from the many lives we have touched. We are a group of people who care for each other and come together to share friendships and experiences with our guests from around the world.
If you return to Mountain Sky guest ranch through the years, you’ll always see many familiar guest and staff faces. We look forward to welcoming you to our Montana home.
Typical Day
Afternoon: The afternoon could be adventuresome, hiking miles of trails, rafting down the Yellowstone River, exploring the wonders of Yellowstone Park, or trying your hand at mountain stream fishing. Wrap up your afternoon activities with a restorative yoga session with Brad. For a more relaxing day, soak up the sunshine and view of Emigrant’s peak by the pool, or take time for a soothing massage.
Evening: Enjoy a dinner ride barbecue of steaks, chicken or seafood, or savor a delicious gourmet dinner that offers the finest in continental cuisine. Learn Western dances with the wranglers, or sing your favorite western songs on a hayride or around the campfire. Top off the evening with a nightcap in the cozy lounge, curl up with a good book next to a stone fireplace, experience the tranquility of the night sounds of the outdoors, or unwind with a late-night soak in the hot tub.
What about the kids? From morning until bedtime, your children are free to roam. For the little ones, and any who choose to participate, our staff has a variety of activities planned to entertain and delight children of all ages â€" horseback rides, games in our heated swimming pool, fishing in the ranch pond, participating in arts and crafts, taking nature walks, and many more crazy and wild antics cooked up by our creative staff. Our well-trained counselors supervise your children’s activities so you are free to enjoy yours.

Start your day off right ... Buffet-style breakfasts offer a wide variety of choices â€" from freshly baked pastries and muffins, to fresh fruits to yogurt or homemade granola. You can also enjoy more traditional favorites, such as made-to-order omelets, sweet Montana huckleberry pancakes, or eggs Benedict.
Recharge midday... Lunches on the ranch are casual, delicious meals served buffet-style outdoors, and always include a variety of green and pasta salads, homemade soups, fresh berries, melons and cheeses. Our chefs also prepare a selection of tempting regional dishes, ranging from Mexican enchiladas to Chinese stir-fry to Italian pizza. Sweet tooth? Our homemade cookies are baked fresh every day!
Last but definitely not least... After a day filled with horseback riding, hiking or fishing, we want your evening meal to be equally memorable. Enjoy the warmth of our Mountain View Lounge, where we provide a complement of hors d’oeuvres before dinner. Next, partake in a BBQ at our historic working cattle ranch featuring succulent steaks, chicken or seafood hot off the grill, or savor gourmet sit-down dinners that offer the finest in continental cuisine. Complement your dinner with a bottle of wine from our fine selection. The perfect end to the perfect meal â€" chocolate decadence with an Irish cream anglaise is just one of our many special desserts you won’t want to miss.
