Active Adventure

Situated in Obrovac we are at the crossroads of all biggest National Parks and Parks of Nature in Croatia. We can offer a great deal of activities and adventure programs such as: kayaking, rafting, off road to Velebit mountain, stand up paddling in lower part of the canyon Zrmanja, boat trips down the river Zrmanja but also boat trips to national Park Kornati or Krka. You can choose to see the Cerovac caves �" biggest cave complex in Croatia or hike in the canyon of Krupa and Krnjeza. You can ride a bike on hills around or explore the Land of Zrmanja by foot. You can climb the famous Paklenica rocks or go diving and surfing on great locations nearby.
Depending on intensity you have a lot to choose from; weather you're a beginner and want to do the family trip for the first time or you're a professional who seeks for maximum activity intensity.
Our team leaders on specific program will choose for you the best track or route or activity depending on your skills and based on your requests.
The Land of Zrmanja has much to offer for all types of outdoor activities! Just ask without hesitation!

Typical Day

Needless to say you have to start your day with a good breakfast. We offer traditional one specific for this region which will keep you energized during the activities. Usually we start at 10 a.m. and you go with the team leader on activity you chose. Guests usually choose one activity per day because they all last till 3-4 p.m.. We will offer you a lunch but you would ask for it anyway after the activity. Again we will offer you a traditional menu from the region but you can always choose from the menu whatever you want, or ask the cook to make you something special ;). After the great lunch you will probably experience the “fjaka” ! Fjaka is one of the most typical characteristics of the Mediterranean, the state of mind and body after activity and lunch!!! When „fjaka“ passes you can relax at the pool or go down the river Zrmanja on nice relaxing boat trip where the magnificent Zrmanja Canyon will get your strength back for tomorrow’s planed activity.

Age range, type of group

All activities and the way we organize those activities in the Land of Zrmanja are for all ages. If you are a great athlete you will pass the rafting track in 1,5 hours but if you're not and you are with your family with young children it will take 3 maybe 4 hours. Regardless of activity there are methods how each group passes each program. We all know that group is as strong as its weakest member and our goal is that each and every one of you experience the activity of your choice by your possibilities. So, whatever you are; young or not that young, or you’re a couple or a single, professional athlete of just a lazy tourist trying to enjoy in nature we can organize a great activity for you.

Sleeping and meals

You will probably need a place to sleep; if so �" we have our rural estate called Micanovi Dvori and grate bungalows you can crash in. Each bungalow has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and other with twin beds), each with its own bathroom, a living room and kitchen. The houses are air-conditioned. SAT-TV and Internet are also on disposal to guests. The houses have a porch and a terrace. As part of the Village Zrmanja, there is also an open pool with a sunbathing area and a cafe.

That does not mean that you cannot use our activity offer if not our guest on accommodation. You need a hotel, or a campsite nearby just ask.

Restrictions

There are no restrictions. You are in nature and you obey the normal way of life in nature. If you are in program you listen to a team leader, if you have a pet they are welcome.

Rates are listed in the price list but don't hesitate to contact us if there are more people interested in the program or you will stay for a longer period of time. Each group has its own specifics so contact us and we will make you a great offer. Also if you have any other questions about the region, museums you'd like to visit or transfer you need to organize contact us and we will arrange everything.

Village Zrmanja is designed to reflect the spirit of the old times, but with all the benefits of the today's contemporary life. Accommodation capacities are situated on the slopes above the town of Obrovac, in a small hamlet Drage near Kruševo, with a magnificent view of Velebit Mountain and the River Zrmanja canyon.
The concept of Village Zrmanja is conceived as an ideal settlement created for those who want to rest in the intact nature, in a secluded area, in the fresh air, far from the city crowds. Although only 40 km distant from Zadar, this place offers an opportunity to escape from everyday life with a selection of sports, recreational and adventure tourism activities.
