Hashorva Guesthouse welcomes you to Gjirokaster
The entrance to the B&B is laced with grape vines and an affectionately maintained array of flowers, fruits and vegetables, providing a miniature oasis for visitors.
The large guest room has been restored to its original appearance with traditionally carved wooden elements. It is fit for a pasha, with a large double bed, dining room table and extra beds in reserve to accommodate families or travel companions.
Staying here helps the visitor to appreciate what Gjirokaster might have been like in the late 18th century. The house is fortified with narrow windows, bolted doors, and a well for drinking water which would have given this family the ability to withstand a small siege in relative security.
Beginning in September the family gathers the grapes to make wine and raki, so if you are in Gjirokaster then, it\'s a particularly wonderful time for a stay. The bathroom is large, clean, and well maintained with 24 hour hot water. A simple, delicious breakfast is available upon request.

Public Transportation coming from other parts of Albania will drop you off on the National Road, at the intersection of SH4 and Rruga 18 Shtatori. Follow Rruga 18 Shtatori (the main boulevard into the city) until you arrive at a large traffic circle (about 700 meters). The Football Stadium will be on your right. From the traffic circle, go to the left and follow the road (named Dr. Vasil Laboviti) up the hill (about 475 meters). Stay on this road, don't deviate, it will take you up into the old town. You are near the Hashorva Guesthouse when you see the large Partizan Monument on the corner to your left and the Cambridge Methods English Language School also on the left (the Art and Music School/ Biblioteka is also near by to the right). At the Partizan monument turn left, and you will be 10 meters from the Main Gate of the Hashorva Guesthouse. There is a sign above the Gate with the name HASHORVA. If driving, you can park here in the driveway, or on the street up to right of the gate by the telephone pole.
